Dear JFK community,
As we approach the upcoming national election, I want to reflect on the importance of this democratic process. Our school is committed to fostering a sense of civic responsibility and active citizenship among our students and community members. Voting is not just a right; it is a responsibility we all hold as members of a democratic society.
As educators and parents, we have the duty to model civic engagement for future generations. It’s an opportunity to discuss the importance of voting and encourage our children to understand and respect the democratic process, crucial in preparing them to become responsible and active citizens. By casting our votes, we contribute to the governance of our country and ensure that our voices are heard on important issues that affect us all. It is through our participation that democracy thrives and evolves.
As a school, we do not endorse any candidates or political parties, but we value respectful dialogue and the diversity of opinions within our multicultural community. It is essential that we approach this election with a spirit of respect and understanding for all points of view.
The JFK School has always been an important polling station in past elections. This year, Section 269 has been assigned to our post. Check your INE card to find out your section number and use this link to identify where you have been assigned to vote: https://ubicatucasilla.ine.mx/
On Sunday, June 2nd, access to the campus will be open at 8:00 a.m., exclusively through the auditorium parking (Access 6). The polling station will be placed at the “velaria”, outside the auditorium. We have canceled all school activities on this day to provide easier parking and access, and to ensure that no one is deterred from exercising their fundamental right to vote.
Let us all take the time to participate in this vital democratic process and make our voices heard. Thank you for your commitment to civic engagement and for being the role models our society needs.
Sincerely,
Adrian Leece
General Director
