BSF Spring for Schools
The Bellevue School Foundation is hosting their annual Spring for Schools event on March 30th, 2024 at The Meydenbauer Center.
Join BSF as we cultivate the next generation with a garden party! Funding raised through Spring for Schools yields critical programming in Bellevue School District. Our annual fundraiser joins community leaders, corporate stakeholders, and philanthropic individuals who are committed to making sure that all 18,000+ students at 28 schools in the District can blossom through programs and enrichment opportunities critical to their growth as students and future leaders of our community.
Join or host a table, get a drink and meal with friends, and stroll through the showcase of student work that our donors support.

A Night in Hollywood Auction Gala is this Saturday, March 9th!
As we get ready for A Night in Hollywood Auction Gala on March 9th, we are excited to see those attending, and thank those cheering us on from home or elsewhere. Mil Gracias to our amazing Puesta del Sol community for making this night possible!
Here are a few things to know for the big night:
*We will be using mobile bidding for the silent auction this year, so make sure to bring your smart phone!
*What to expect ON March 9th
- 5:30 Doors Open for Early Check In & Early Previews Begin
- 6:00 Silent Auction officially opens
- 6:45 Silent 15 Minute Closing Warning
- 7:00 Silent Closes. Ballroom Seating with Dinner service Begins
- 7:30 Live Auction begins.
- 10:00 After-Party Begins. The after-party will be more dancing with the official close of the auction. The bar will stay open, you can continue to socialize with other attendees until Midnight, and DJ Zach will be spinning the tunes for dancing and merriment! For those that like the vibes but not the dancing, we will also have some various board and lawn games for you to enjoy.
*Dress Code & Parking
Marriott provides valet parking at a fee. There should also be self parking available in the surrounding streets and parking garages of Redmond Town Center.
Smart Casual, Cocktail, and Black Tie attire are all suggested but not required. If you have been waiting for the opportunity to dig out that red carpet outfit-this is the perfect opportunity to dress to the theme! Please know your presence is what matters most and we encourage you to dress in what makes you comfortable.

March Passport Check
Our next Passport Check Day will be Tuesday, March 26th.
Save the date and start studying now!
Does your child usually only do level 1? See if they can reach their grade level goal this month (3rd graders do Level 3, etc). If they usually shoot for their grade level, see if they can do all 5 levels!
Ethiopia is the Special Itinerary country this month. Complete the worksheet for a special prize!
Volunteers are necessary to keep this program running. We only ask for your help one day a month. Please put it in your calendar and join us in the STEAM room. We would love to have you!

STEM Fair Registration is Open!
The STEM Fair Registration is open!!! You heard it, we are having our STEM Fair on April 24th, 2024. STEM Fair is a student-led project-based fair using on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. All students participating in the STEM Fair must register.

Need help with the STEM Fair?
Bellevue High School's Science Olympiad offers a service called Tutor Time, held each Saturday at various KCLS libraries. Drop into one of their sessions or email them (tutortime.bhs@gmail.com) if you would like help with your STEM fair project! They host free drop-in tutoring for grades K-12 in any subject, and they have tutors knowledgeable in STEM to help you with all aspects of your project. Sign-up for Amity Intern Performances and Flag Procession in the International Arts Festival
It's time already to prepare for the International Arts Festival, happening this year on Wednesday, May 22, 5:00-8:00 pm!
Students can sign up to rehearse and perform a dance taught by our amity interns, Andrés (Colombia), Josue and Karla (El Salvador,) or Jenny (Spain). Rehearsals will take place for 6 weeks on Wednesdays after school, 1:30-2:30pm, beginning March 27th. We also need parent volunteers to chaperone the Amity Intern rehearsals.

Students are also invited to be part of the flag procession at the International Arts Festival that represents the many cultures and heritages of our community.

International Festival Volunteer Opportunity
International Art Fest Day of Coordinator
Want to help us with DAY of coordination for the International Art Fest? This is an amazing opportunity to help out and will not require you to chair or plan the logistics! Come help volunteer with one of our largest community event! Great way to get your feet wet in event volunteering without more commitment.

Bellevue PTSA Council Community Service Event
Bellevue PTSA Council invites BSD Elementary School students and their families to join us for a community service project on Saturday March 23, 2024 from 3:30pm - 5:30pm at the Eastside Bahá'í Center (16007 NE 8th St, Bellevue, WA 98008).
This event will be a wonderful hands-on opportunity for our elementary school students to give back to their community. Together, we will assemble weekend food packs to be distributed by Backpack Meals for Kids to BSD preschool students in need.
NOTE: This event is intended for elementary students (5-11yrs old), younger siblings are welcome! An adult must attend with their student(s) - this is not a drop-off event.
Volunteer spots are limited - RSVP required by March 19 to attend

Fri & Sat Driver (adults only): Pick-up food items from Bellevue warehouse (Fri 3/22 10:30am) and deliver to community service event (Sat 3/23 3pm)

Sat & Mon Driver (adults only): Pick-up assembled food packs (Sat 3/23 5:15pm) and deliver to Bellevue warehouse (Mon 3/25 10:30am)

Right at School
Registration for before and after care at Puesta del Sol for next school year is expected to open over the summer. If you need care for your kiddos, it doesn’t get more convenient than this. New for next year: Right at School will be offering Preschool Care!

At no cost to you, Care Solace will quickly and confidentially find available mental health and substance use providers matched to your needs.
Care Solace helps school districts provide care coordination for every student, staff member, and family member in need. The Care Solace team is always available — including nights, weekends, and holidays — in 200+ languages.
