Elect Kamala Harris President
and Tim Waltz Vice President
| |
|
As the daughter of parents who brought her to civil rights marches in a stroller, Vice President Harris was inspired to tackle injustice from an early age. She took that mission to county courtrooms, the California Attorney General’s office, the United States Senate, and the White House.
Now she is running for President of the United States to continue protecting our freedoms, delivering justice, and expanding opportunity so that every American can not just get by, but get ahead.
Governor Walz is a champion for America’s working families. He enlisted in the Army National Guard when he turned 17 and served for 24 years, rising to the rank of Command Sergeant Major. After attending college thanks to the GI Bill, Tim Walz served his community as a high school teacher and football coach – taking his team to the state championship for the first time in the school’s history. He became a member of Congress in a Republican district by representing the needs of farmers and rural America. As Governor, Tim Walz cut taxes for working families, lowered the cost of insulin and eliminated junk fees, and protected women’s right to choose. That experience makes him the ideal running mate for Kamala Harris, who has taken on the big banks, led the fight for reproductive freedom, and stood with our allies against Putin’s aggression during her time as a prosecutor, Attorney General, Senator, and Vice President.
| |
From his work as a civil rights lawyer in Richmond to his time as U.S. Senator for Virginia, Tim has dedicated his life to helping others and standing up for Virginians.
Re-elect Senator Tim Kaine!
| |
|
Rep.Gerald E. “Gerry” Connolly is serving his eighth term in Congress, and is a senior member of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, where he chairs the Subcommittee on Government Operations.
Re-elect Rep. Gerry Connolly!
| |
|
From his seat on the House Committee on Ways and Means to his work as a member of the New Democrat Coalition’s Climate Change Task Force and founding the Congressional Fusion Caucus, Don Beyer is working for all Virginians.
Re-elect Rep. Don Beyer!

Tim Kaine - anuncios en Español
Senator Tim Kaine has produced several Spanish language TV ads using some of our local talent in the FCDC Latino Caucus!
Leonel Rojas, Marta Calderon and Maritza Zermeño traveled to Manassas and spent hours looking this way and that way, repeating lines over and over, in order to deliver messages to the Latino community of Virginia. Watch for the ads on television and social media.
| |
|
The Inside Scoop is a one-hour pubic affairs show that airs live on Mondays on Fairfax Public Access.
Russell Brooks interviewed Maritza Zermeño, Chair of the Latino Caucus, for an episode devoted to the Latino Vote, exploring the issues that are of greatest concern to the Latino community, and how those issues are being addressed.

Postcard Party
Together with MoveOn.Org, the Latino Caucus held a postcard writing party on the evening of August 8.
Between some ravioli, salad, tuxedo cake and a little wine, the group sent post cards to inconsistent Democrat voters urging them get out and vote for Democrats up and down the ticket.
Many thanks to Marta Calderon, Federico Cura, Gil Davenport, Linetta Earley, Myles Early, Antonia Fasick, Pat Hanley, Sherry Nachnani, Jaya Nachnani, Leonel Rojas and Maritza Zermeño.
