Mission San Juan Capistrano continues to be a favorite field trip destination for fourth graders learning history. Did you know? The Mission hosts over 70,000 field trip students every year and provides hands-on learning experiences. We are honored to have become a special "Rite of Passage" experience for 4th graders across Southern California.
Mission San Juan Capistrano continues to receive excellent survey results from teachers who have recently visited on their field trip and experienced the new Remember the Builders student education program. A recent teacher review said, "This was a wonderful experience for our students. We cannot be grateful enough for the hospitality and the learning that took place at the Mission. Every staff person was so professional, warm and thoughtful. Our students were treated with respect and care. There was a serenity that blessed all of the students as they walked grounds of the Mission."
The Student Audio Tour, "If These Walls Could Talk" continues to amaze both students and teachers alike and allows students to be more engaged in the history of the Mission while exploring at their own pace.
Mission San Juan Capistrano is offering free funding for the 2024-2025 school year. This funding opportunity has been underwritten by grants and donations.Through the Adopt-A-Class Scholarship program, students will receive admission, a self-guided audio tour, and the Mission Matters adobe brick making class (the combined experience is valued at $19 per student).
Book your Mission experience today for 2024-2025 to Remember the Builders and gain greater respect and appreciation for the past.
Sincerely,
Mechelle Lawrence Adams, Executive Director
