It's School Field Trip season here at the historic Mission San Juan Capistrano! We are currently taking bookings for this school year 2022-2023 and welcoming students back for their annual return to the Mission. Plan early and be in charge of your schedule and set your students up for the very best in field trip experiences.

Mission San Juan Capistrano is dedicated to providing students with the highest quality, standards-based field trip experience. All of our tours and education programs support the Mission San Juan Capistrano is dedicated to providing students with the highest quality, standards-based field trip experience. All of our distance learning and onsite programs support the California History-Social Science Content Standards and Framework (CA HSS). In addition to this, many of our education programs also align with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Our educational experiences are geared toward 3rd and 4th Grade learning, however, they can be adjusted to be appropriate for any grade level if you let our staff know when you book your field trip. |

Journeys to the Past - Jacque Tahuka Nunez Road Trip to the Mission, Native American Educator |
Join us for a special presentation of Journeys to the Past, a Native American storytelling experience presented by Indigenous storyteller Jacque Tahuka Nunez as she takes students on a journey into the lifestyle of the early Indigenous people of California. Children experience lively music, storytelling, songs, games, and dance with opportunities to participate.

INDIGENOUS PEOPLE'S DAY -
JOIN US FOR A SPECIAL BELL RINGING

Special Bell Ringing on Tuesday, October 11, 2023 at Noon |
Join us on Tuesday, October 11 as we celebrate the history and culture of the local Acjachemen people and all native people for Indigenous People's Day with a special bell ringing of the historic bells at 12:00 p.m. by one of our official bell ringers, members of the the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians, Acjachemen Nation.
Mission San Juan Capistrano is committed to celebrating and preserving the culture and history of California's fist people. Experience more Native American history at the Mission by exploring the Native American museum room featuring information on the Acjachemen people's origins, view the grinding stone where Native Americans ground acorns for food preparation or visit the Mission Clubhouse and see a giant interactive basket weaving center.
