Here's what's coming up at BCTC Workforce Solutions:

TRAINING FUNDS MAY BE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR COMPANY!

The centerpiece of the KCTCS workforce and economic development efforts is the KCTCS TRAINS program. Through KCTCS TRAINS, BCTC can work with you to provide the training your employees need to keep your company competitive in today's global economy at a much lower cost to you.

Eligible companies that qualify receive funding to assist with the cost of providing workforce training services to current as well as potential employees. Companies receive a discount of up to 75% of the cost of training (plus a 10% administrative charge).

How to Manage Your Emotions

This course is designed to give you the tools you need to recognize your emotional triggers, control your emotional and physical responses, and handle other’s emotions. As a result, you will be able to communicate more effectively with supervisors and coworkers, be able to channel negative energy into more positive and productive activities, and will promote your overall emotional intelligence.

Resilience

This course is designed to give participants the tools they need to identify workplace stressors, end self-deprecating talk, build communicative workplace structures, and calmly deal with change. As a result, participants will be able to calmly handle daily upsets, have better relationships with coworkers and clients, and find greater happiness and satisfaction in day-to-day work life.

Staying Focused

In this course, you will learn how to handle change in a positive way so that you can make the most of the opportunities it may offer. You’ll discover how a positive response to change and uncertainty will make you a more valuable employee, increase your skills and self-confidence, reduce your stress level, and help you advance your career.

Employee Engagement

Highly engaged employees are emotionally committed to their organization’s goals. What do employees who are not highly engaged do? They might look for work elsewhere—or perhaps even worse, stay and do the bare minimum to remain employed. In this course your leadership will learn how to identify each employee’s strengths and how to leverage them in the workplace, show support by minimizing obstacles that frustrate employees, and foster an environment that supports employee engagement.
