Attention snow sports: If you're feeling the stoke of Mother Nature's bountiful drop of powder in the mountains and have any plans to hit the backcountry, be sure to check out our avalanche awareness courses.
Wish you had a rope tarp, or a place to store your flaked rope but don't want a fancy bag? For $20 you can get the tarp, complete with color coded ties for top and bottom of flake. A strap on the outside of the tarp lets you burrito-roll your rope and either slide it into a larger pack or strap it to the outside. Clean, concise, done.
If you haven't had the opportunity to meet Edgeworks' new Operations Manager yet, we've put together a little get-to-know-you interview with James Pope, who joined our staff in mid-December.
James is new to the PNW, having just moved here from the east coast and Florida, but he's no stranger to climbing gyms. In addition to being on a climbing team as kid, he also brings 4 years experience previously filling the role of Operations Manager for Brooklyn Boulders Somerville (Boston). We're stoked to have him join the Edgeworks team!
Tuesday, JANUARY 17 - 7pm: Increasing your endurance will certainly help you climb longer routes and increase the length of your sessions but its also a frequently overlooked factor in climbing harder grades.
Tuesday, FEBRUARY 7 - 6pm: Team up with others and see if together you can reach the top of one of our "Partner Routes"! And/or, climb with 5 new people and be entered into a drawing for fun prizes.
