PTSA News

Please join the PTSA for the 2023-2024 school year!

You can make a difference in the quality of education in Edgemont!

The Edgemont Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the educational experience of Edgemont's junior and senior high school students. We are funded entirely by membership dues, contributions, and fundraising proceeds.

The PTSA funds programs not covered by the school budget, including student clubs, performances, and competitions, field trips, and special events (such as senior forum and graduation). These activities enrich what our students learn in the classroom and help build community.

Please click here to join the PTSA for the 2023-2024 school year and help us provide these important programs to our students. You can also pay your PTSA membership dues by check/cash in an envelope left in the PTSA mailbox at the high school. Note that the PTSA is separate from the Elementary PTA and any contributions you may have made at the elementary school level.

Thank you for your support!

Elizabeth Georgioudakis, ICAP teacher

My name is Elizabeth (Lizzie) Georgioudakis and I am very excited to be back in the Edgemont UFSD this school year as the Middle School ICAP teacher!

I grew up in Yonkers, NY in a very large, family-oriented, Greek household. In May 2021, I earned a dual Master’s degree at Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY in both Social Studies and Special Education.

Some of my hobbies include

ECC Volunteer Opportunity - Saturday, October 14

Join the Edgemont Community Council Fall 2023 Service Day on Saturday, October 14, as we help local children and families in need.

ECC

The Sharing Shelf was founded to address clothing insecurity and meet the basic material needs of low-income children and teens in Westchester County. Nearly 26% of Westchester children live in poor or low-income homes, and many lack access to clean clothing, as well as everyday necessities such as socks, underwear, shoes, toothbrushes, and soap. This impacts many aspects of their lives – from chronic absences from school, to bullying, to low self-esteem.

Sign up now and join your neighbors in a gratifying and meaningful community service opportunity. We will be filling hygiene kits, organizing diapers and preparing clothing among other projects. Two sessions are available: 9:30-11:30 a.m. and 12-2 p.m. To underwrite the supplies used during these activities, we’re requesting a contribution of $50 for a group of 2 or $100 per family (up to 4 volunteers). Click here to sign up.

Questions? Contact Laura Wilker, ECC Community Service Committee Chair.
