Congratulations to the Greater Dalton Chamber of Commerce
The US Chamber of Commerce has awarded the Chamber with 5-Star Accreditation for its sound poli cies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community. This is the third time the Greater Dalton Chamber has received the 5-Star status. 
Unemployment in Dalton Falls to Decade Low
"Dalton's jobless rate in September fell by two-lengths of a percent to 5.0 percent-- the lowest rate since September 2007."

The Early Education Empowerment Zone partnerships have given Dalton Public Schools the opportunity to expand several early education initiatives that support our youngest learners and provide a solid literacy foundation.

Dalton/Whitfield County was one of 48 communities across the nation to be recognized as a Pacesetter Honoree by the Campaign for Grade-Level Reading. The community received the award as recognition for its excellence in innovative community literacy and early childhood language strategies through its Get Georgia Reading Campaign.
