Dear Teachers,


Your dedication to students inspires us at the Center for Economic Education and Entrepreneurship (CEEE). Our mission has always been to support you as you help your students understand economic ideas. 


You've shared a common challenge: You are assigned the responsibility of teaching economics and need assistance in understanding economics fundamentals to teach with confidence and clarity what the Delaware economics standards require students to know.


We listened to your concerns and, with support from the Delaware Council on Economic Education (DCEE), we put together:


Three asynchronous online courses:

  • +/- 10-hour course for K-5 teachers
  • +/- 16-hour course for 6-8 teachers
  • +/- 17-hour course for 9-12 teachers


Time:

  • Monday, January 29 to Friday, April 12.


Register:

  • Open now through January 26.


Course Highlights:

  • Courses align with Delaware's economics standards.
  • Provide Economic Fundamentals
  • Based on a highly acclaimed program published by McGraw-Hill.
  • Free for Delaware teachers who complete within 11 weeks.
  • Limited free access codes from McGraw-Hill are assigned to participating teachers.
  • A refundable $50 check (payable to DCEE) is requested and returned upon course completion to ensure commitment.
  • Earn 10, 16, or 17 clock hours and a CEEE certificate.
  • Open to all Delaware teachers interested in economics.


Course Structure:

  1. 5-minute videos explaining key economics concepts of Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and international trade.
  2. Adaptive learning assignments.
  3. Homework (80% score required to advance to the next concept).


Additional Support:

  • Zoom assistance is available as you progress.
