Raynham Public Library says :

"We've been having so much fun playing scrabble at the library. You have until the end of the month to play your letters!"

Historical Tidbit:

From the Report of the Raynham School Committee, April 1, 1858:

There were 8 school districts educating a total of 321 students. Each district operated one classroom educating children between the ages of 5 to 15. The school year was divided between a summer term and a winter term. Either term could last between 2 and 3 1/2 months, depending on the weather.

During the winter term in district 1, it was noted that "average attendance was seriously decreased by sickness..." which was attributed, in part, to the condition of the schoolhouse.

Raynham Community Emergency Response Team Keeps Us Safe

On March 12, the Raynham Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) handed out over 250 COVID-19 home testing kits in 3 hours at the fire station. CERT is a Citizens Corp Program that is supported by Raynham Emergency Management. Each kit came with two tests and was made possible by the Raynham Board of Selectman's approval to purchase them using federal funds.

Echoes of love.

“Do we settle for the world as it is, or do we work for the world as it should be?”
~ Michelle Obama

“The world is a hospital: people are patients, truth is the doctor, and love is the remedy.”~ Matshona Dhliwayo

“Bloom where you are planted.”
~ Mary Engelbert

"What do we live for, if not to make the world less difficult for each other?"
~ George Eliot

“It always seems impossible until it's done.”
~ Nelson Mandela
The way I see it, each day we have a choice, we can work toward a better world or we can live in fear of change, holding on tightly to what we know.

I attempt to choose love, and I tell you, it's not easy. Fear is powerful. It can be debilitating, stop me in my tracks. But I find the love I've shared echos back and lifts me.

Loving each other and caring for our planet boundlessly is not selfless, it is selfish. We do this for each other and then we are surrounded by love & an abundance of food, clean water, and a gorgeous place to live.

So I encourage you, be selfish today, give all the love you can to everyone around you & take steps to care for our earth.
~ Jacquie
