Eaton Peabody and Maine Tomorrow Join Forces



BANGOR, MAINE - November 1, 2010 The statewide law firm of Eaton Peabody (EP) is pleased to announce the addition of Hallowell-based consulting group Maine Tomorrow to its subsidiary, Eaton Peabody Consulting Group (EPCG).


"We are very excited about the combination of these two firms," said Mat Eddy, EPCG Executive Director. "The services both firms provide to clients are very complimentary and will broaden the level of expertise available to them."


Founded in 1982, by its principal, John Melrose, Maine Tomorrow specializes in public policy research and governmental affairs, community development, and association management. Melrose, a well known public policy consultant in Maine and former Commissioner of the Maine Department of Transportation, is joined by a talented team of professionals with extensive government, management and development experience.


"Maine Tomorrow is joining the Eaton Peabody Consulting Group to expand the breadth and depth of services available to our clients while creating further growth opportunities for our employees. This is a terrific fit for us that holds great potential," added Melrose.


EPCG, with offices in Augusta, is a multi-disciplined consulting group that focuses on business development, community assistance, public affairs, strategic planning, and municipal services. The group is known for its work in unconventional facilitating of complex economic development projects, assisting both public and private sector clients. It also has played a key role in assisting communities with their economic development efforts, including ongoing efforts in Camden, Old Town and Piscataquis and Franklin Counties.


Maine Tomorrow will begin serving clients from the EPCG office at 77 Sewall Street in Augusta on January 1, 2011.
