We Make YOUR Travel Plans EASY
APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS.....

Nothing makes me feel as good as seeing beautiful flowers in bloom. I especially enjoy colorful pansies, tulips and daffodils. That's why visiting gardens around the world is one of my favorite things!

The past month has been very busy finalizing a large group to Alaska in August and our Accessible South Africa Safari that is less than a month away. I can't wait to share photos and stories from both of these trips with you. I'm getting ready to put together another group trip to Hawaii in Fall, 2019 so stay tuned for details.

It's not too late to plan your summer vacation...call us now to get started.

Traveling in the U.S.
The U.S. has endless possibilities for accessible travel opportunities. We send clients on river cruises on both the American Queen Steamboat Company and American Cruise Lines.

These companies welcome people with wheelchairs and scooters and can accommodate them on their daily motor coach tours. The buses do have lifts. We also work with a fabulous tour operator who can plan private city stays with wheelchair accessible tours and accessible accommodations. Collette Tours will provide a lift equipped motor coach on their U.S. tours which include the National Parks and many other destinations. We are not able to do groups but can easily plan independent travel for you and your travel companion.
Need a Scooter?
We can help!
Do you need to rent a scooter or other mobility equipment for your next cruise or land trip?

Be sure and let us know and we can make arrangements for you through Special Needs Group.

Standard and heavy duty scooters, wheelchairs, hospital beds, hoyer lifts, lift chairs, oxygen and more are all possibilities for you when you travel.
Book Review
I just finished reading Elephant Whisperer by Lawrence Anthony as recommended by our Tour Operator that we are using in South Africa next month. Reading this book was totally out of the box for me and completely outside my comfort zone. However, as I had suggested it to our group members, I felt obligated to stick with it and continue reading even through some difficult passages. First of all, it was totally amazing and extremely enjoyable.

Secondly, I learned so much about Africa and the Zulu culture. Most importantly, I now have a new and incredible respect for animals and their natural instincts and ability to communicate. The book was very well written and the author was a very special and talented person. He has since passed away. Our tour leader's mother was a good friend of his so I'm hoping to learn more about him. I look forward to some good discussions with the others in the group who have read this book.

So, reading this book was similar to travel....sometimes we need to step outside our comfort zone and take on a new adventure. Most likely it will end up being a positive and enjoyable experience!
