FCC Earns Purple Star School Designation
Fairfield Career Center was recently named among more than 150 schools in Ohio to be granted Purple Star designation by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce.

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce announced that 171 Ohio schools received Purple Star designations as members of the Purple Star Class of 2024. Purple Star schools show a significant commitment to serving students and families connected to our nation’s armed forces. Ninety-seven Ohio schools received the esteemed award for the first time, and 74 schools earned a renewal after three years as dedicated Purple Star Schools.

EFCTS to Offer New Teacher Preparation Satellite Programs
Due to popular industry demand as well as support from our associate schools, Eastland-Fairfield will begin offering a one-year, senior-only satellite program called Teacher Preparation at three different locations!

For current high school juniors who are interested in a career in teaching, this one-year program will introduce students to the world of education and equip them to graduate with a paraprofessional license, allowing them to go directly into the workforce or prepare them for their next educational step.
The Teacher Preparation program will be offered at three locations:
Teays Valley High School
Hamilton Township High School
Gahanna Lincoln High School

Strong CTSO Competition Performances Continue to Pour In
Eastland-Fairfield career and technical student organizations (CTSO) continue to represent their groups and schools well with every passing competitions. Recently, SkillsUSA and FCCLA were in competition and our students and making big moves in their respective events.
More than 75 Eastland-Fairfield students competed at the SkillsUSA State Championships between its three chapters. We're proud to announce that eight students qualified to compete at the National Leadership Conference while a total of 15 students earned a spot on the podium in their respective event.

Following regional competitions held in February, Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools will have 17 Culinary Arts students represented at the upcoming FCCLA State Leadership Conference. 

Ten students earned Gold designation, the top honor at the regional level, while 11 students earned Silver designation. For results and state qualifiers, click the button below or visit our website.

Pre-Dental Perfection!
The seniors in Pre-Dental program at Eastland Career Center have been waiting for this moment all year long, the moment they test to become certified dental assistants. Pre-Dental Instructor Mrs. Sauer has proudly reported that every, single senior Pre-Dental student passed their certification exam and are now one step closer to being real-world ready! Congratulations to the Pre-Dental seniors on this incredible accomplishment!
ECC Health Fair a Success!
On Wednesday, April 17, Eastland Career Center held its second annual Health Fair inside its multi-purpose room. Students had the opportunity to get up and move, learn about how to live healthier, and engage in other activities that promoted positive physical and mental health. An autism awareness walk was also held and physical competitions between students were held to measure strength and stamina. Thank you to Mr. Fealty for organizing this great event and to all of our partners and vendors who came to educate and support our students!
(Fork) Lifting Futures to New Heights
Congratulations to our most recent class of graduates from our Aspire Forklift, Aerial and Safety Training course! Our students earned their certification on the Hyster 50XT forklift and the Aerial Lift Skyjack SJ3226. The students complete 28 hours of instruction and assessment to become certified to operate this type of equipment.
