Where Did Easter Come From?

Easter, is the principal festival of the Christian church, which celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his Crucifixion.

The earliest recorded observance of an Easter celebration comes from the 2nd century, though the commemoration of Jesus’ Resurrection probably occurred earlier.

Congrats to one of the young men that completed the Christian HELP “Better Work – Better Life” Recovery Series at Advent’s Hope & Healing Center in Sanford.

Last Saturday...
When you are working but underemployed and a $400 crisis away from being homeless, groceries from our pantry make the difference. But what about those who can’t get here during business hours because they work?

First Saturday Markets have begun! This past Saturday our Pantry was open for the first time to serve hard-working families in our community who can’t get here during business hours. We are blessed to serve and thankful for our food partners and volunteers who make this service possible.

We will now offer First Saturday grocery pick-up to select clients each month as we continue to reduce expenses & make ends meet for those in need.
