The Board of Directors held its monthly meeting on May 6, 2024.
To communicate and inform owners and tenants of what is happening in Eastbluff, the Board is working with HOA Connection to provide a short email blast highlighting board decisions and issues after each meeting.

In the Architectural Committee meeting, the Board, acting as the Architectural Review Committee, took action on the following applications. (1) 926 Aleppo: approved a Minor Category Application for adding a covered entry porch and eliminating select rear and side windows. (2) 2200 Aralia: approved a notice of completion (3) 2807 Carob: approved. a Minor Category Application to remove landscaping plants and install fences.

In the General Session, the Board took the following actions:
- Approved the April 1, 2024, Board of Directors meeting minutes.
- Approved the March 2024 monthly financial reports subject to year-end audit.
- Authorized two accounts to be turned over to the Law Office of Tary Loomis Therrien for collection of delinquent assessments.
- Received an update from Ron Rubino and Allen Yourman on their work with Southern California Edison to bring electrical power to the Jamboree/Eastbluff Dr monument and the Blue Heron Park Monument.
- Discussed the timeline for revisions to the Association Election Rules so that they are adopted and can be used for the 2025 Annual Meeting of Members and Election of Directors.
- Requested the landscape committee discuss owner feedback regarding removing dead plants and filling areas on the Arbutus slope with new plants at their next meeting. Also requested that the committee determine if overseeding the grass at Blue Heron Park should be done for the upcoming winter season.
- Approved a proposal from Dave Bang & Associates for $650.00 to conduct a drop test of the rubberized matting in the playground at Blue Heron Park and a proposal from EarthCo for $250 to rototill the sand in the playground area.
- Approved a proposal from EarthCo for $490 to remove a dead tree and the planting of a new melaleuca tree at Blue Heron Park.
- Directed a letter be sent to an Arbutus Street owner to either remove or transplant a palm tree causing a view impairment.

Ron Rubino reported that the City Traffic Engineer has agreed to install additional signs to remind motorists of the community speed limit and to watch for children at play and at the park. The signs should be installed by the end of June. Also, the city has agreed to repaint the crosswalk at the B street entrance/exit at Eastbluff Drive to improve vehicle and pedestrian safety in the community.
The next meeting of the Board of Directors will take place on June 3, 2024, via Zoom.
The Board encourages all owners to attend the monthly board meetings and stay informed on Association issues.
