BALTIMORE, MARYLAND - July 2, 2024 - Independent comics creators from New York, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina will gather at the 25th Anniversary Baltimore Comic-Con, taking place at the Inner Harbor's Baltimore Convention Center on September 20-22, 2024! The Baltimore Comic-Con welcomes comics guests Vito Delsante, Dean Haspiel, Whitney Matheson, Charlie McElvy, and David Trustman to our 25th Anniversary event! Vito Delsante
Stray by Vito Delsante

Vito Delsante is a comic book writer/graphic novelist. He’s written for Action Lab Entertainment, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, Image Comics, AdHouse Books, and Simon & Schuster among others, and his stories have been reprinted in other countries. He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, Michelle, their daughter, Sadie, son, James, and their new pit bull puppy, Bruno. Find him if you can and say, “Hello.”


Vito will be promoting Kilroy in which Five Vietnam veterans face the consequences of their actions as a secret they thought they buried comes back to haunt them.

Dean Haspiel

Emmy and Ringo Award-winning cartoonist Dean Haspiel is best known for creating Billy Dogma and The Red Hook, collaborating with Harvey Pekar and Jonathan Ames, and illustrating for HBO's "Bored to Death." His published work includes writing and drawing for Marvel, DC/Vertigo, Archie, Image, and Webtoon. In addition, Haspiel is an accomplished playwright and Yaddo fellow. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.


Dean will be promoting The Red Hook x Dean Haspiel, a meta-heroic/speculative memoir.

Whitney Matheson
Trudy Sellout by Whitney Matheson

Whitney Matheson is a New York-based writer best known for creating Pop Candy (1999-2014), USA Today’s award-winning pop-culture blog. She is the author of several children's books, including We Make Comics (2019), and she co-edited the comics anthology Pandemix: Quarantine Comics in the Age of ‘Rona (2020). Whitney will be promoting Trudy Sellout, a collection of short fiction featuring an actress who rose to fame in the ‘90s attending her first fan convention.

Charlie McElvy
American Yakuza by Charlie McElvy

Charlie McElvy is the mastermind behind all things Xion Studios and now the fledgling Blind Squirrel Comics! Charlie has published award-winning role-playing game supplements and comics since 2012. Some of his most popular properties include Spider-Squirrel & Trash Panda, GodQuest featuring Milestone, American Yakuza, and The WatchGuard. He’s also the publisher of Scott Fogg’s Nightcare and Vito Delsante’s Stray comics series.


Charlie will be promoting American Yakuza, an action packed murder-mystery set in Japan.

David Trustman
Gregor! by David Trustman

Writer/artist David Trustman is a TEDx speaker, and Ringo Award-nominated writer and artist behind GodSlap, The Rise, and the best-selling series The Memory Arts. David is debuting Gregor! and The Best Book on Memory series.


David's Gregor!, painstakingly told in American Sign Language, tells the story of Gregor, the universe’s greatest deaf fighter who ventures to save his long lost girlfriend with aid of his best friend, Bear.
