1.) New FREE Complex Needs Trainings Available from Haring Center
DCYF, in partnership with the UW Haring Center, is offering more trainings to support child care providers who care for young children with complex needs. These trainings focus on deepening the provider's knowledge in several areas related to individualizing instruction and supporting social-emotional learning. All trainings are FREE and will be held remotely via Zoom. In-service STARS credit will be offered for ALL trainings.
2.) Brightspark 2024 Professional Development Institute
Every May Brightspark (formally Child Care Resources) puts on it’s annual Professional Development Institute. This has been a FREE virtual conference to get good professional development and STARS hours. This year the virtual options will be Monday – Friday and an in-person event on Saturday. Please see link below – registration should open sometime this week.
3.) Licensed ONLY - Licensing “WAC” of the week: Program and Daily Schedule
This week’s WAC focus is Program and Daily Schedule. The WAC highlights requirements for Outdoor play requirements, active play and moderate to vigorous activities. As a reminder a daily schedule must be a part of our posting board. Please let me know if you have any questions and please see full WAC below.
Have a great week!
