1.)   April Monthly Early Learning Virtual Professional Development: Social and Emotional Learning: The Most important skills for school readiness – Tuesday, April 23rd from 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Our April monthly virtual STARS training will be Social and Emotional Learning: The most important skills for school readiness. It will be presented by Jesi Sucku from ESD 112 and take place Tuesday, April 23rd from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.  Upon completion will receive 2 STARS hours.

In this training, participants will learn about the importance of social-emotional learning in creating a strong foundation for school readiness. Learn how to help kids become resilient, kind, community-oriented people ready to take on school and all of its challenges.

2.)   Save the Date: INSPIRE 2024 Thursday, August 15th
INSPIRE is an In-Person Professional Development Conference put on by the Office for Catholic Schools. Last year we created an Early Learning Tract for the conference that had multiple sessions throughout the day that focused on Early Learning topics. We will be doing that again this year! Many more details to come, but please save the date for you and your team for Thursday, August 15th!

3.)   Licensed ONLY - Licensing “WAC” of the week: Physical Restraint
This week’s WAC focus is Physical Restraint. Your staff and family handbook must have a physical restraint policy. The WAC highlights that physical restraint must only be used if a child’s safety or safety of others is threatened. If Physical Restraint is required it describes how it must be implemented and how and who to report to after it happens. Please let me know if you have any questions and please see full WAC below.
