Early Childhood and School-Age Care Policy Notes

HB 1540 was introduced through the delayed bill process which took some childcare components out of the DHHS budget (SB 2012), including childcare assistance program, quality tiers, employee match program, grants and shared services, nontraditional care provider support, worker training stipends, and streamlining background checks.

HB 1540 received a do pass in committee on 4/19 and was placed on the calendar to be voted on the House floor. The vote will likely be today (4/21).
