Now Open: San Mateo Credit Union (SMCU) is accepting Paycheck Protection Program loan applications!
Dear Small Business Owner,
The SMCU application portal is now open for new Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan applicants. The program is authorized through March 31, 2021 or until all funds have been disbursed. If you are still being affected by COVID-19 and are considering applying for the PPP loan, that was recently approved by Congress, please see below for the documents you will need in order to aide in the completion of your loan application or visit their webpage dedicated to PPP loan information.
 
Please be aware that if you apply for a PPP loan with SMCU, a membership will be required prior to funding a PPP loan. The following are the eligibility requirements for a business membership:  
  • Your business must be located or headquartered in San Mateo County, City of Palo Alto, or select San Francisco zip codes
  • Your annual revenue should not exceed $10,000,000.
  • Your monthly business activities should not require large cash deposits.

PLEASE NOTE: The application and all communication is an online only process. All communication regarding PPP loans will be distributed exclusively through an electronic channel. 
Documentation to verify identity and an authority to act on behalf of your business is needed along with documentation to validate the information contained in your application. Prior to starting your application, please gather the information and have it on hand. Click the Learn More button below for a more detailed explanation of the documentation requirements, as well as your starting point for applying for the loan. 
Be prepared to provide the following information:
  • A valid, unexpired government issued ID
  • Documentation of your EIN/TIN 
  • Unexpired Fictitious Business Name Statement 
  • Proof of Business Operation prior to February 2020
  • Active Status with the Secretary of State 
  • Proof of ownership and income.
 Additionally, you'll need:
  • A list of the names of all beneficial owners with 20% or more ownership with their SSN/TIN or EIN and their percentage ownership.
  • Documentation that shows average monthly payroll costs 
  • If you have employees you will need to provide additional forms
  • Proof of health insurance can also be provided to aid in documenting your expenses. 

*Not all business types qualify for membership.

LAST DAY TO APPLY
On January 26, 2021 the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors voted to allocate $1.5M in support of Local Learning Hubs. Supervisors Dave Pine and Carole Groom championed this new grant program for operators of supportive spaces assisting socioeconomically disadvantaged students engaged in distance learning.

Application CLOSES TODAY, Wednesday, February 10 at 5 p.m.

COVID-19 Vaccination Survey
4Cs of San Mateo County and the San Mateo County Office of Education, in partnership with San Mateo County Health, are conducting a survey with all early care and education providers in San Mateo County (early care and education includes licensed child care centers, licensed family child care providers, and license-exempt home-based providers). The purpose is to collect preliminary information in support of equitable vaccine distribution to the child care sector. Please share with your staff and colleagues in the field.
This survey will close on Friday, February 12, 2021
