Sep. 23, 2022

At Rosh Hashanah, we gather with our family and friends filled with hope for the new year for ourselves, our communities and our country. Yet this hope is tempered with the challenges that we also face in the coming year.

The Torah says, “Do not stand idly by.” We can’t stand idly by while antisemitism and attacks on our democracy continue to rise; we can’t stand idly by as abortion becomes inaccessible in many states; and we can’t stand idly by as gun and mass shootings continue to devastate families.

We need to stand up for the issues we care about and get involved. If we don’t fight to protect our freedom, it will become a distant memory.

As we begin the year, choose to act. That means donating to JAC candidates, volunteering for get out the vote efforts, making sure everyone you know is registered to vote, and that they show up at the polls. The only way to protect our rights, keep our communities safe and ensure a bright future for our children is to have an effective Congress.

Thank you for doing everything in your power to elect JAC candidates this year. With your support of JAC, we can look forward to a more promising year.

L’Shana Tovah to you and your family.

FYI

THE LAST WORD

The Unites States is determined to defend and strengthen democracy at home and around the world. Because I believe democracy remains humanity's greatest instrument to address the challenges of our time."

- President Joe Biden in his remarks before the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly

Joint Action Committee for Political Affairs (JACPAC) is a pro-Israel PAC with a domestic agenda. We support a strong U.S.-Israel relationship and advocate for reproductive health and the separation of religion and state and incorporate other issues of importance to the Jewish community, including gun violence prevention and climate change. In addition to providing financial support for U.S. Senate and House campaigns, JACPAC educates our membership with outreach events designed to inform and activate their participation in the political process.
