STATE OF THE INDUSTRY & OUTLOOK CONFERENCE 2018: CHANGING THE WAY WE BUILD

18th Annual State of the Industry and Outlook Conference to be held March 8th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
When the Ontario Construction Secretariat (OCS) was created in 1993, one of the key objectives defined in the Labour Relations Act was "collecting, analyzing and disseminating information concerning the collective bargaining and economic conditions in the industrial, commercial and institutional sector of the construction industry." To achieve this objective, the OCS has consistently shared information with our stakeholders through the publication of a regular industry newsletter.

One of the strengths of unionized ICI construction sector in Ontario is the training and education that is provided by the trades. There are over 95 state-of-the-art, joint union-employer training centres covering every region of the province, ensuring that union tradespeople have the training and skills required for productive and safe worksites.
