Christmas Parties
There were 3 Christmas Parties last Sunday all around the diocese. Christ Church Kennesaw, St. Columba's, and St. Matthias' all hosted parties with a combined 10 parishes taking part!

Retreats

DYC | Jan 8-10

Only a few weeks until this awesome weekend is here! DYC is a weekend at Camp Mikell that always includes a theme. The theme this year is Love Like Jesus, this part of our Diocesan Purpose Statement. Don't forget your pajamas and shirt for the luau! Youth participants and adult chaperones can find registration here.

New Beginnings | Feb 5-7

Team registration is open and can be found here. The application deadline is January 20.

Happening 65 | Feb 19-21

Mark your calendar for February 19-21. Those are the dates for Happening 65! Team registration can be found here. Start recruiting candidates, and let them know the dates! Also, get in your OR nominations! Email them here.

New Beginnings | Feb 5-7

Team registration is open and can be found here. The application deadline is January 20.

Mission Trips

Birmingham | July 10-15

Diocesan Mission Trip Birmingham is our high school youth trip. Each participant will spend half the week doing labor intensive service work that includes a coop garden, while the other half of the week will be relational, including volunteering at a local VBS. atlSERVE | July 10-15

The diocese has also partnered with All Saints' Atlanta to provide an Atlanta based mission trip for middle school youth. We have already partnered with Emmaus House, Meals on Wheels, and the Atlanta Food Bank to provide a good mix of service work. You can find registration here. The middle school deposit is $50, and the high school deposit is $60. The deadline has passed, but we will continue to take youth until we run out or space, so get registered today!

Payments can also be mailed to the diocese. Please make the check out to the diocese and ear mark it Mission Trip atlSERVE or Birmingham. Check can be mailed to Youth Missioner, Easton Davis.

Youth Workers' News

Youth Workers' Meeting | Jan 11
The next Youth Workers' Meeting will be on January 11 from 6-8pm at Emmanuel in Athens. If you are able to attend, please email Youth Missioner, Easton Davis, here.

Hunger Walk | Mar 13

Mark you calendar for the 2016 Hunger Walk. It is March 13. Last year we had close to 20 youth groups and over 200 youth present for the Eucharist before the walk. We will do the same thing this year at Emmaus House, and Bishop Wright will be there! We are currently working on securing accommodations to allow more people to come to the service. We hope to see all of you there for a great event!

Youth Workers' Retreat | Aug 5-6
The Diocese will host the 2016 Youth Workers' Retreat Aug 5-6 at All Saints' Atlanta. You have the option of starting the retreat on Friday night with dinner and staying through 6 o'clock Saturday, or coming Saturday morning at 10am for the day portion. Registration will open next week!

Social Media
Help us begin to track what all our youth groups are doing across the diocese. Whenever you post a photo from your youth group, please hashtag #eycdioatl. We want this be a new way that we can all stay connected and see what other groups are doing.

Hope Hutchins traveled to the Diocese of Texas for a young adult retreat. The theme was 5 Marks of Mission. She learned a lot! You can read her blog entry about the experience here.

DYC | Jan 8-10

We have 5-6 college students taking part in DYC in January! We can take 4 more, because we are having a college student group that will meet throughout the weekend. This a great place to get the conversation started on what the future looks likes for college ministry. Space is limited. If interested, please contact Youth Missioner, Easton Davis, here.

Chaperones

We will continue to take college students and high school graduates 1 year removed from diocesan youth programs. Many wish to apply, so space it limited. If interested, please contact Youth Missioner, Easton Davis, here.
