Youth News
Annual Council was a huge success for our diocesan youth ministries. At the Lock-In, we had 65 youth and 20 parishes represented. Our youth delegates participated in all activities throughout Council, and MacKenzie Teal delivered the youth address on Saturday morning. You can find her address online here. Please take a moment to read her moving address.

At Council we pushed out part of our new branding EYCDIOATL, Episcopal Youth Community of the Diocese of Atlanta. Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter @EYCDIOATL and hashtag us at #EYCDIOATL. We want to know what all of our youth groups are doing, and this is the easiest way to search all the different activities going on in youth ministries across our diocese!
Retreats
Above: MacKenzie Teal, a junior from St. Paul's Newnan, delivered the youth address on Saturday to open Council. Her words captivated and moved many in the room.

This is a high school retreat for teens, led by teens. Candidate registration closes tonight! Registration is open for all 9-12 grade youth. Click here for candidate registration. Celebration Team registration can be found  here. Happening 64 is November 20-22. Come be a part of the movement!

DYC
DYC is an incredible retreat for all youth grades 6-12. DYC is a weekend at Camp Mikell where youth spend their time having fun and learning how to Love Like Jesus.  Participant registration is open for DYC! Youth participants and adult chaperones can find registration here.  The retreat is January 8-10.  Don't miss out on our only retreat that hosts youth grades 6-12 at Camp Mikell!
Mission Trips
We have 2 Diocesan Mission Trips scheduled for July 10-15 of 2016. These mission trips are just the beginning of providing a tailored mission trip experience for all youth of our diocese.

Diocesan Mission Trip Birmingham will now be for high school youth. Each participant will spend half the week doing labor intensive service work that includes a coop garden, while the other half of the week will be relational, including volunteering at a local VBS. You can find registration here. You can find more information about the trip here.

The diocese has also partnered with All Saints' Atlanta to provide an Atlanta based mission trip for middle school youth. We have already partnered with Emmaus House, Meals on Wheels, and the Atlanta Food Bank to provide a good mix of service work. You can find registration here. You can find more information about the trip here.

The middle school deposit is $50, and the high school deposit is $60. The deadline has passed, but we will continue to take youth until we run out or space, so get registered today!  Payments can be mailed to the diocese. Please mail the check to Youth Missioner, Easton Davis.
Youth Workers' News
The next Youth Workers' Meeting will be on December 8 from 12-2pm at St. Philip's. If you are able to attend, please email Youth Missioner, Easton Davis, here.

Be on the lookout for the date for the Youth Workers' Retreat for next summer. We will have a date selected by next week!
