Waterfront Access Program!
EYC’s Waterfront Access program opens later this month as overall water temperatures reach safe levels for general watercraft usage. This year’s programming is handled entirely within the Amilia website, which can be found via links on each of our website's boating pages. EYC membership is required to check out for any Waterfront Access package so if you face any errors stating restrictions are in place, please ensure you are using the same email address that EYC has on file for you. If you’d like to add an alternate email, please contact the Waterfront Manager to have it flagged as a member.

Junior Spring Sailing
With the warming of weather comes the opening of EYC Fleet operations, including junior Spring sailing. EYC’s 2024 Spring Sailing is set to follow a similar setup to last Fall’s youth offering, with flexible, commitment free offerings 3 days of the school week in the evenings. There is so set curriculum for this offering, instead offering the chance for the participating youth to decide their preference on goals and boat class being sailed dependent on the conditions present. We encourage anyone looking to ‘shake off the rust’ going into Summer take a look at what’s offered via our Amilia registration website!

8 Bells: Charlie Husar
The sailing community at large lost an important booster last week, with the death of Charlie Husar, longtime companion of EYCer H. Marie Harkenrider. Known for his relentless promotion and organization of the Cal 25 class -- some might call him its personification -- Charlie made sure the class remained vital through the years, including its longtime inclusion in our Beer Can Series and other local events. He brought a steady stream of newcomers into sailing, first as crew in the Cal fleet and eventually as new boat owners and committed sailors. A founder of the Good Old Boat Regatta and other well established events, he also served as CBYRA's Cruising One Design High Point scorer for too many years to count. Read more about Charlie here and on the Cal 25 class website.
