EXHAUSTED???? 6/9/24 Galatians 6:9!!!
2 Thessalonians 3:13 (KJV)
13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
WHEW!!!!!!!?????????????
I WOKE UP, (Praise the Lord for AWAKENING again!!!) WEARY-AGAIN!!!
ANOTHER ruff night with little Amanda!! PLEASE PRAY FOR HER!! She has a bed sore and they are difficult to heal-THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I awoke, (see above), EXHAUSTED at 7 AM with full intent to head to my man-cave and GO TO SLEEP!!!
As I walked through my living room my wife had Joel Osteen on AS USUAL. I half listened to his ALWAYS positive message and it reverberated in my heart and spirit:
Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
I only caught a mere whiff of his message but God brought to my remembrance a Biblical Story I have NEVER fully understood:
Mark 8:22-25 (KJV)
22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
Now brethren, I DO NOT consider myself a Bible theologian!!!! I have NOT attended any accredited Bible college, but I have stayed in a Holiday Inn!!!!
In my old age, I have determined to DAILY read my Bible-WITHOUT COMMENTARY-just me and my Bible AND Holy Spirit.........................
EVERYTIME I am “FIXIN” to read same Bible I PRAY:
Psalm 119:18 (KJV)
18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.
I/WE NEED TO HEAR DIRECTLY FROM GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please note the phrase:
“After that He (JESUS) put His hands AGAIN upon his eyes...............
AND he was RESTORED, nd saw every man clearly!!!!”
JESUS, HIMSELF, HAD TO “put His hands AGAIN” on the blind man in order for him to receive his healing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus first PRAYER was insufficient!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????/
HUH??????????????????????????????????????????
JESUS having to PRAY twice for the result??????????????????????????????????
Perhaps there is someone out there who is better equipped with a better slant on this Story???????? For over 50 years I have been puzzled with the WHY the first PRAYER was not sufficient???????????????????????????????????
Beloved, I, PERSONALLY, am weary!! I NEVER sleep well at night-the only restful sleep I get is in the wee hours of the morning-after my wife has risen and I know Amanda is being watched.
Please know this is not a complaint-I CHOSE this life and am glad I have Amanda and any “problems” that come my way.
There are MANY things I have PRAYED for and about for YEARS, even DECADES with seemingly NO requite.........................
TODAY, I face hurdles, troubles and seemingly UN-climbable mountains is MY personal life-I struggle under the immensity of what I need/hope to do!!!!!!!!!!
I could easily go on and on on my physical, financial, emotional, spiritual limitations .
BUT Joel's words sparked new HOPE and strength for TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I close with Jesus' admonition:
Luke 18:1-8 (KJV)
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man
cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
NEVER GIVE UP-NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP!!!!
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV)
17 Pray without ceasing.
God Bless YOU!!!
