Thank you again!

We want to give another shout out to our 2024 Golf Classic title sponsor, Metro Equity Management. Metro Equity Management is a family owned and managed commercial real estate company that builds strong, nurturing relationships with clients, vendors and tenants.

Metro Equity Management has owned and redeveloped over 1,000,000 square feet of commercial property in the Twin Cities Real Estate Market and around the country. The team, who calls Lakeville home, provides services in Tenant Representation, Brokerage, Property Management. Leasing, Construction Management, Property Acquisitions, and Real Estate Accounting. Thank you to Mark, Jane, Q, Steph, Greg, Jaci, Brandon, and the entire Metro team for your support of the Chamber and our community.

Future workforce in action

Last week, some members of the Lakeville Area Chamber Foundation Board of Directors were excited to celebrate the grant we recently awarded to Small Wonders Preschool for their intro to coding kits.

The cool part about these kits is that the students are learning to code WITHOUT a computer! The way they arrange the squares dictates the motion and activity of the cars. Thank you to teacher, Amy Gagliardi, for submitting the grant application.

The Lakeville Area Chamber Foundation awards Impact Grants to schools and organizations that support innovative, student-based programs, that include workforce readiness initiatives and/or STEM career exposure. Priority is given to programs that have the ability to be replicated, sustained, and adapted.

The Foundation raises money through $26 annual donations from Chamber members (on your renewal invoice), and events like our spring Suds for Scholars and fall Bowling for Education fundraisers. If you would like to learn more about how to apply, or support the foundation, go to LakevilleChamber.org/Foundation or contact the Chamber at info@LakevilleChamber.org or 952-469-2020.

Early Voting Details from

the MN Chamber.

Here are the details on absentee voting, from the Minnesota Secretary of State:

ABSENTEE BALLOT

In Minnesota, you don’t have to wait until Election Day—you can vote early with an absentee ballot.

VOTE EARLY IN PERSON

You can cast an absentee ballot at your local elections office starting 46 days before Election Day. Visit mnvotes.gov for hours and locations.

VOTE EARLY BY MAIL

  1. You can also apply to have an absentee ballot sent to you in the mail. You must return your ballot by Election Day.
  2. Apply for a ballot any time during the year at mnvotes.gov/absentee. Election officials will send voting materials once ballots are available (see below for dates).
  3. Read the instructions that come with your ballot carefully. Your ballot will not count if you do not complete all the forms.
  4. You will need a witness when you vote and complete your ballot. The witness can be either a registered Minnesota voter or a notary. Your witness must sign the signature envelope and list their address.

VOTE EARLY BY ABSENTEE BALLOT

  1. If you are not registered to vote, you will get a registration application in your materials. To register, show your witness one of the identification options listed in the instructions. Your witness must mark which ID you showed them on your signature envelope.
  2. After you finish, mail the ballot and forms back right away. Your ballot will not count if it is received after Election Day. You can also return your ballot in person to the elections office that sent your ballot.

TRACK YOUR BALLOT

All absentee ballots that are received on time and had the forms filled out correctly will be counted. Visit mnvotes.gov/track to confirm your ballot was received and counted.

360 spots left to fill

We are a loooong way from our goal of 400 donors and 1200 lives saved. Please donate as you are able and share out to your network. Click image to register, or HERE to download a pdf to hang in your office.
