2016 saw record used car sales of 7.7 million and this translated into a very busy year for auctions, as dealers bought cars to fill forecourts to meet consumer demands. The G7-15 series of compressors replace the previous GX7EL and GX11EL models and offer a number of enhancements in terms of energy efficiency and reliability, including increasing Free Air Delivery (FAD) by up to 3 per cent.

Demand for two-wheel vehicles in the UK continues to rise. The Motorcycle Industry Association reports that sales of motorcycles, scooters and mopeds exceeded 128,600 units in 2016, a year-on-year increase of 11.7 per cent. Commuter sized bikes of 50 to 125cc engine size, which accounted for nearly 40 per cent of all new bikes sold, saw the largest rise. This upwards trend is of course good news for those interested in the tyre side of the business, a topic that Tyres & Accessories will highlight in its February 2017 issue.
