Hello OST Program Providers & Community Partners,

As we welcome the start of a new school year, we also celebrate the success of our second annual Bridge to CRLS welcoming event for incoming 9th graders.

Last week, we were thrilled to host more than 300 freshmen who were able to connect with their peers, tour the CRLS building, meet their dean, counselors, and a few key resource folks while they got their ID pictures taken and collected their CPs chromebooks. They had the opportunity to hear stories from CRLS upperclassmen and were able to ask questions and seek advice from supportive peer mentors. The event was a blast, with students getting the chance to personalize their own Class of 2027 t-shirts (designed by teen artist, Ariam Tecleberhan, at the Community Arts Center!), enjoy music, refreshing sno-cones, and ice cream truck treats.

We want to express our gratitude to the community partners who played a huge role in making this event possible including the Peer Mentors at CRLS, Office of Workforce Development, Reaching All Youth Network, Cambridge Public Library, The Community Arts Center, RECESS, Citizens of the World, Tutoring Plus, Upward Bound, YWCA Programs, Ayesha Wilson, the Teen Health Center, CRLS Peer Mediators, RSTA and the Visual and Performing Arts Department, and CPS. Your support and participation created a great experience for these students as they embark on their high school adventure!

Here's to a fantastic school and after school year ahead!

Reminders for You

Community Partner Portal

Have you added your summer 2023 enrollment data in the Community Partner Portal (CPP)? By having current data in the CPP, you will have access to data for your program planning and trend analysis. With updated data, you can easily utilize the OST Demographics Dashboard to export your program data and showcase it in visually appealing charts, like the example chart below! It depicts how many CPS High Priority Students received scholarships for OST programs last school year. Fascinating!

Need help uploading your summer enrollment data to the CPP? Contact Zeena Brown, Network Associate, zbrown@cpsd.us

Looking to distribute your program flyers?

If you would like a flyer sent to CPS students, please send your flyer to Debbie Barros (dbarros@cpsd.us) and Carolyn Turk (cturk@cpsd.us). They must approve your flyer before it can be shared.
