Our speaker is Elliott Brack, a native Georgian, a graduate of Mercer University, and who holds a Master's Degree from the University of Iowa. For 13 years he
published a weekly newspaper in Jesup, Ga., and for 12 years he was Vice President and General Manager of
Gwinnett Daily News,

Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Living in Gwinnett since 1974, he has written columns extensively about that fast growing county.
He now publishes
GeorgiaClips,

GSPC "FOCUS" MISSIONS - An update from MO&E
MO&E is tasked with ensuring the "focus" missions for our church make the most of our time, talents, and financial support. We prioritize missions that enable people to be involved in ways other than giving money and where members are passionate about the mission. Connection to PCUSA is also taken into consideration for selecting mission opportunities.
Our church has a long standing involvement with the Lilburn Cooperative Ministry. At this time, MO&E has re-affirmed GSPC's commitment to Clifton Sanctuary Ministries, Stand Up for Kids, Haiti Ecovillage School Partnership (formerly Seeds of Hope), Thornwell Home for Children and Operation Christmas Child. However, we have not re-affirmed GSPC's commitment to the Lilburn Co-op because we still are in need of someone with a passion for the Co-op's mission that will be the MO&E sub-team lead for this mission. For details, please speak to Roxanne Lau, Chris Calia, Ginger Stapley, or Kim Adcock.

Good Shepherd Preschool
Under the direction of Janet Martin, our preschool director, Good Shepherd has gained quite a reputation for providing the best preschool and after school care program around! Because of the high demand for our school, Janet is adding 3 new classrooms and is expanding the After School Care program this year! And we are already close to having full enrollment! It's nice to be able to serve our community with such an excellent program and to reach so many children with Christian instruction. We are grateful for the leadership Janet has provided that has led to this success.
The start of the school year with additional classrooms has created some needs for assistance. Do you like to browse thrift stores? The school is desperately in need some used clothing: anything for toddlers ages 12 months to 24 months, and pants, shorts and underwear for sizes 2T to size 6, both girls and boys. Children do have "accidents" at school and require a change of clothing. The school also needs some volunteers to help label and organize some books in the preschool library, as well as sorting and organizing some toys and art supply closets. If you could spend even an hour or two helping with this, please contact Susan Jones at
susanjones7@comcast.net
or 678-787-1305.
Thank you for your assistance with this,
The Preschool Board
