Dear Brother & Sister Elks:

I’m hoping everyone has received the ER Letter & December 2022 Calendar mailed to each of you. I also hope that you are making plans to visit YOUR fabulous Civil War Era Lodge and see how beautiful it looks this Holiday Season with SEVEN decorated Christmas trees and MORE throughout the building!!

Volunteers from the Decorating Committee are the ones to thank for how festive our Lodge looks and Volunteers are the backbone of the December parties and Volunteerism is the basis on which we exist. I ask you each to AGAIN look at where you own passions lie and how YOU can support this Lodge. Let me share with you a few things that our Members give to our Lodge as their personal contributions:

One Member wraps all of our silverware & napkin rolls

One Member handles the pull-tabs machine audit each Monday

One Member donates all of our outdoor propane

One Member decorates our outdoor spaces for every season

These are just a couple examples of BEHIND THE SCENES donations to our Lodge. None of these Members are Officers OR Members who want to toot their own horns…these are just Members who have found a way to contribute. Please consider offering Party assistance on 12/12/22 OR 12/16/22 OR 12/31/22 – details follow here or at the Lodge. For those who prefer a flexible schedule / behind-the-scenes tasks, contact me any time…there is ALWAYS much to do!

During this Holiday Season, I would also like to ask for your patience and gratitude for our Bartending  Staff. Those gals work their rear ends off and continue to do it all with beautiful smiles on their faces. December is our busiest month of the year and everyone is working as hard as they can. Let’s all remember to be kind even during the craziest of times!!

I look forward to seeing YOU at the Lodge this month - consider attending the New Member Initiation TOMORROW night!

With Warm, Humble and Grateful Regards this first week of December,

Tammy
