Women's History Month
Women's History Month began as a smaller "Women's History Week" on March 7, 1982, and was later petitioned by the National Women's History Project to become a month-long celebration. The month of March officially became Women's History Month in 1987 and gives us the opportunity to acknowledge the historical contributions of women in the United States. International Women's Day is observed on March 8.

IRS Free File Guided Tax Preparation Options

If your adjusted gross income (AGI) was $73,000 or less, review each provider’s offer to make sure you qualify. Some offers include a free state tax return.

Use the IRS Free File Lookup Tool to narrow your list of providers or the Browse All Offers page to see a full list of providers. After selecting one of the IRS Free File offers, you will leave the IRS.gov website.

What you'll need:
  • Income statements like W2s or 1099s
  • Adjustments to income
  • Dependent and spouse information, if applicable
  • Prior Year AGI or Prior Year Self-Select PIN

What does "Free" in IRS Free File mean?
As long as you meet the eligibility criteria for the IRS Free File provider’s offer you selected, you must not be charged for the electronic preparation and filing of a federal tax return. Some IRS Free File providers do charge a fee for state tax preparation. Any state tax preparation or non-qualifying fees must be disclosed on the provider’s IRS Free File landing page.
Housing Scams: How to Spot Them
Recently, an EHA client was contacted by someone via text message claiming to be their Certification Specialist. In this text exchange, the scammer asked for hundreds of dollars or the client would be removed from "the program."

EHA Certification Specialists will never make such a request, especially via text message. If you receive such a message, please forward onto your Certification Specialist via email.

If you are ever unsure of a request, please email your Certification Specialist.
