Holiday Resources
  • Christmas House - Provides free holiday gifts for children 0-17. To see if you are eligible, visit: https://christmas-house.org/shop/
  • Toys for Tots - US Marine Corps program that provides holiday gifts for children ages 0-17. To sign up, visit - www.toysfortots.org/request_toys/default.aspx
  • Forgotten Children’s Fund - Anyone can write a referral letter, including the family. Selected children receive a new coat, at least 3 toys, food staples, and blankets: www.forgottenchildrensfund.org
  • Holiday Food Distribution at Everett Food Bank - Ask for application for additional assistance for rent, utilities, clothing, etc. Holiday distribution days: December 20, 22, and 23: www.voaww.org/foodbank
  • St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank - For assistance with rent, utilities, or clothing call (425) 355-3504. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Food Bank is in the basement of the parish offices at 2619 Cedar. Hours are Mon & Wed 9:30-11am
  • LIHEAP - For winter energy assistance call (425) 388-3880. Hours are Monday & Thursday 9am–11:30am and 1pm–3:30pm. Message line available Monday-Friday 9am-4pm. For eligibility guidelines, visit: www.snohomishcountywa.gov/552/Energy-Assistance
  • Millenia Ministries - Provides Holiday Meal Baskets with a full meal. Please call (425) 259-3555 to sign up.
Office Closures
The EHA offices will be closed the following days:
  • December 25 & 26 - in observance of Christmas
  • January 1 - in observance of New Year's Day
Scholarship Opportunity for High School Seniors
Applications for the 2024 PHADA Scholarship Program is now open! Since EHA is a member of PHADA (the Public Housing Authorities Directors Association), any residents with a current high school senior can apply for one of their three scholarships. Applications are due January 26, 2024. For more information and to access application materials, click here!

12/6 - Santa @ the Everett Station - Great Hall at Everett Station | 5PM-7PM
Free hot chocolate and free photos with Santa!

12/9 - Wintertide Celebration at the Gipson Center - 10AM-5PM | Learn more here
Head over to Wintertide at Gipson Center for a whole-lotta free family fun including, Santa photos (this dude is everywhere!), crafts for kids, concessions, holiday makers gift market, live entertainment, bingo and yummy goodies. The event is free and open to the public. Shout out to the Volunteers of America for throwing this awesome event. 

12/13 - Create @ the Library: Wintery Papercuts (Adults Only) - Main Library | 2PM-4PM | Sign Up Required
Make an original papercut scene using cardstock and mulberry paper. By attaching this paper landscape to a vase, adding snowflakes and a candle, you will have a peaceful nighttime snow scene to visually warm up these long, cold nights. This program is for adults and space is limited. Signups are required. One signup per person please.

12/16 - Downtown Everett Cookie Crawl - 12PM-5PM
Hosted by the Downtown Everett Association, in partnership with the City of Everett and the Everett Silvertips, come on downtown to fill your cookie jar, or your favorite tin! Multiple businesses downtown will have specials and delightful cookies to collect along the way. Bring the family and maybe sneak in a cookie (or two) along the way!

12/30 - New Year's at Noon at Everett Public Library (both branches!) - 11AM-12:30PM
Kids and families are welcome to ring in the new year! Celebrate with activities, stories, and a dance party at noon! For families with young children. Learn more:
Wintertide Lights - Throughout December
Evergreen Arboretum - 4PM-8PM Daily
The Evergreen Arboretum transforms into a lighted holiday wonderland for all to enjoy. Bring the whole family to see the light displays or catch one of their family fun events during the month of December. This dazzling display is free!

Waterfront Lights - Port of Everett
Head to the Port of Everett throughout the holiday season so enjoy the "ice" tree and other lighting effects. Learn more on the Port of Everett's website.

Downtown Everett
Bundle up, grab a coffee and enjoy the lights downtown while you do a little shopping. Downtown Everett is all decked out for the holiday season with a tall tree and stunning light display suspended over the Colby and Hewitt intersection.
