EFT Success Stories

Hi Kim,

We are talking EFT this month. Emotional Freedom Technique has incredible results and we thought you might like to read a few of our favorite EFT success stories so you can see how it can be applied and help people and animas in major ways.

EFT Tapping and Boo

One of our Animal Wellness Coach graduates, Jamie, shared this experience and we are sharing it, again for you.

Let me tell you a little story about a dog named Boo and his fear of the desk drawers. So, I had a friend who purchased a new desk for her house. There are filing cabinet drawers built into this desk, and they make a noise whenever they were opened or closed. It is a normal sound that desk drawers make, and most people wouldn't even notice it. However, her dog, Boo noticed, and did not like the noise at all.

He would run out of the room every time she opened or closed a drawer. His bed is next to her desk so he can be close to her as she works. He always lay close to her while she worked and had no issues with the other, old desk. The noise from this new desk seemed to give Boo high anxiety and fear, though.

One day Sally opened a drawer on the desk and Boo jumped up from his nap, darted out of the room fast as lightning, and would not come back in. She called him to come, but he would only stand at the door and not enter the room.

At first she thought that he had a bad dream which frightened him. Sally went to Boo, petted him, and went with him back to his bed. He went back to sleep and she went back to work. A few minutes later she opened a drawer again. Boom! Boo jumped up from his nap and raced out of the room. Sally was very confused as to what was happening and called me for help.

I communicated with Boo to see why he was acting this way. He told me that he was afraid of the noise the drawer makes, terrified in fact. Now, Boo has always been afraid of loud noises and that is actually how he got his name. Sally told me the story of how he would jump at everything when he was a puppy so she named him Boo.

This noise, however; was not particularly loud so it seemed odd that Boo was afraid of it. It was too loud for him and that is all that matters. I explained to him that he was safe, and the drawers would not hurt him, but he continued to run away anytime Sally opened or closed a desk drawer.

After muscle testing, yes, that was the key to finding out what to do to help Boo quickly. I found that EFT tapping was the best method to help Boo with his fear of the desk drawers. He must have really needed the amped up energy from the tapping.

Since Sally is a friend who lives nearby, I was able to sit with Boo in person while practicing EFT tapping with him, which is what he muscle tested for - he must have really needed the amped up energy from the tapping.

I sat on the floor with Boo near her desk. Sally opened a drawer as I held him from running away. He was very nervous but stayed with me. I then started tapping on the meridian points and spoke the words for Boo as if I were practicing on myself.

Since I was physically with Boo I was able to tap directly on him, but if he had muscle tested to not be tapped on directly, I could have used a stuffed animal or tapped on myself and it would have been just as effective.

After 3 rounds of tapping I could feel Boo release his tension. Since he was relaxed again, we tested his fear of the drawers. Sally slowly opened one drawer on her desk. He looked up at us, looked at the drawer, then me again, but he did not get up and run. Even though he was still nervous, I took this as a success.

Knowing that the energy would continue to move through him I decided to have Sally retest the next day. I asked Sally to open a drawer while Boo was sleeping and watch his reaction. He continued to sleep without even waking up. Whew!

It has been over a month, and she can now open and close her desk drawers freely without bothering Boo. He doesn't even pay attention to them. EFT Tapping truly is a miracle. I am so grateful for this energy technique. Sally and Boo are grateful too.

EFT is just one modality that can have tremendous results when it muscle tests it is needed. With animals it may not show up as often because it is a stronger energy that is used and you actually tap on the body or a surrogate), but when it is needed it is truly a miracle method and can be very powerful.

EFT Saved the Day for Petey

This story is from Allison. Her sweet pup, Petey, came to her with lots of "street savvy" baggage that she spent almost a year working on.

I learned how to use positive methods to make this reactive dog feel safe and secure and not react to the things that used to send him into a lunging, snarling rage. Petey would react to bikes, motorcycles, all dogs, people with a different gait, people wearing hats, the door to door mail man, any man, lawn mowers, garbage trucks, etc - Petey was a ball of reactive aggression with anything that came towards him.

It is a lifetime journey that has proven if you put in the time and do the work, you will have a very rewarding relationship. Petey was a great dog that I could, now, take anywhere and be so proud!! He was bringing smiles to our faces instead of ulcers to our tummies.

However, about 8 years ago, our precious, rehabbed Petey started lunging and biting (the horror) anyone that would go towards our front door to leave our house! Thankfully, most of the victims were family and they love Petey, but there were a few plumbers, electricians and painters that won't come back.

I just could not imagine how this could happen after we had worked so hard and come so far! We were on pins and needles whenever the door bell rang or a neighbor came over. At this point, I had exhausted most of the modalities in my tool box - aIl that had worked before like his crystals, color and energy work.

He was an angel when everyone was in their chair and it seemed like my holistic efforts were proving beneficial UNLESS someone got up to go to the front door. I did not know where to turn, until I learned EFT. I was just amazed and could not believe how it unfolded.

We had been burglarized before the "leaving and lunging" began and it literally affected my husband - he felt so betrayed with such a sense of loss. Well, during the EFT tapping session when we had connected to Petey, and it was revealed that Petey was mortified and felt like a failure because he had slept right through the incident - never barking or alerting! Petey saw how sad it made "daddy" and he vowed never to let anyone ever again leave our house taking stuff that meant something to us.

Wow, all of this behavior was out of love and loyalty! We did a few rounds of tapping reassuring Petey that he is a good dog and to let go of feeling less than, and we assured him that anyone we allow into our home can leave with anything we give them.

Just ONE session of EFT was all that was needed.  Several workshops, dinner parties and years later at my house, Petey can meet, greet and say goodbye to everyone that visits! We have not had an issue since that one EFT session. It is amazing how quickly it can work and can release so much, even decades of emotional pain, trauma or blockage.

Max's Journey with EFT

This is a heartwarming story of how Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) helped a rescued dog named Max overcome his deep-seated anxiety and fear, allowing him to find peace and joy in his new home.

Max's journey began when he was rescued from a neglectful environment. The trauma he had endured left him anxious, timid, and fearful of new people and situations. Despite the loving home provided by his new owner, Max's past experiences continued to haunt him, making it difficult for him to fully embrace his newfound safety.

Max's owner took our intro to Holistic Animal Care class years ago and realized EFT’s potential to help animals cope with emotional challenges. Intrigued by the possibility of helping Max heal, she decided to give it a try.

During EFT sessions, Max's owner would gently tap on specific acupressure points on her own body while connecting energetically to Max. She focused on addressing his anxiety and fear, acknowledging his past but also instilling a sense of security and love. Max, being receptive to his owner's dialog and soothing voice, gradually began to relax during these sessions.

Over time, the changes in Max became evident. His tail, which had previously been perpetually tucked between his legs, started to wag more often. His body language became more open, and he began to show curiosity about his surroundings. He even started to approach strangers cautiously, a significant step forward from his initial hesitancy.

One particularly touching moment was when Max's owner tapped on the EFT points while repeating affirmations like, "You are safe now," and "You are loved." As she did this, Max rested his head on her lap and closed his eyes, a sign of trust and comfort he had rarely displayed before.

The breakthroughs continued, and Max's progress became even more pronounced. He started to engage in playtime, showing a side of him that hadn't been seen since his rescue. His separation anxiety diminished, and he began to feel secure even when his owner wasn't by his side.

Max's transformation was a testament to the power of EFT in helping animals release emotional blockages and trauma. Through consistent tapping and positive affirmations, he learned to let go of the fear that had held him captive. He discovered a newfound sense of emotional freedom, allowing him to fully embrace the love and care he was receiving in his forever home.

Max's success story with EFT not only touched the hearts of his owner but also inspired others in the animal rescue community to explore alternative methods of healing for their furry companions. Max's journey serves as a beautiful reminder that emotional healing knows no boundaries and that even our animal friends can find solace and transformation through the power of love and energy tapping techniques like EFT.
