EFT Tapping and Boo
One of our Animal Wellness Coach graduates, Jamie, shared this experience and we are sharing it, again for you.
Let me tell you a little story about a dog named Boo and his fear of the desk drawers. So, I had a friend who purchased a new desk for her house. There are filing cabinet drawers built into this desk, and they make a noise whenever they were opened or closed. It is a normal sound that desk drawers make, and most people wouldn't even notice it. However, her dog, Boo noticed, and did not like the noise at all.
He would run out of the room every time she opened or closed a drawer. His bed is next to her desk so he can be close to her as she works. He always lay close to her while she worked and had no issues with the other, old desk. The noise from this new desk seemed to give Boo high anxiety and fear, though.
One day Sally opened a drawer on the desk and Boo jumped up from his nap, darted out of the room fast as lightning, and would not come back in. She called him to come, but he would only stand at the door and not enter the room.
At first she thought that he had a bad dream which frightened him. Sally went to Boo, petted him, and went with him back to his bed. He went back to sleep and she went back to work. A few minutes later she opened a drawer again. Boom! Boo jumped up from his nap and raced out of the room. Sally was very confused as to what was happening and called me for help.
I communicated with Boo to see why he was acting this way. He told me that he was afraid of the noise the drawer makes, terrified in fact. Now, Boo has always been afraid of loud noises and that is actually how he got his name. Sally told me the story of how he would jump at everything when he was a puppy so she named him Boo.
This noise, however; was not particularly loud so it seemed odd that Boo was afraid of it. It was too loud for him and that is all that matters. I explained to him that he was safe, and the drawers would not hurt him, but he continued to run away anytime Sally opened or closed a desk drawer.
After muscle testing, yes, that was the key to finding out what to do to help Boo quickly. I found that EFT tapping was the best method to help Boo with his fear of the desk drawers. He must have really needed the amped up energy from the tapping.
Since Sally is a friend who lives nearby, I was able to sit with Boo in person while practicing EFT tapping with him, which is what he muscle tested for - he must have really needed the amped up energy from the tapping.
I sat on the floor with Boo near her desk. Sally opened a drawer as I held him from running away. He was very nervous but stayed with me. I then started tapping on the meridian points and spoke the words for Boo as if I were practicing on myself.
Since I was physically with Boo I was able to tap directly on him, but if he had muscle tested to not be tapped on directly, I could have used a stuffed animal or tapped on myself and it would have been just as effective.
After 3 rounds of tapping I could feel Boo release his tension. Since he was relaxed again, we tested his fear of the drawers. Sally slowly opened one drawer on her desk. He looked up at us, looked at the drawer, then me again, but he did not get up and run. Even though he was still nervous, I took this as a success.
Knowing that the energy would continue to move through him I decided to have Sally retest the next day. I asked Sally to open a drawer while Boo was sleeping and watch his reaction. He continued to sleep without even waking up. Whew!
It has been over a month, and she can now open and close her desk drawers freely without bothering Boo. He doesn't even pay attention to them. EFT Tapping truly is a miracle. I am so grateful for this energy technique. Sally and Boo are grateful too.
EFT is just one modality that can have tremendous results when it muscle tests it is needed. With animals it may not show up as often because it is a stronger energy that is used and you actually tap on the body or a surrogate), but when it is needed it is truly a miracle method and can be very powerful.
