XCEL ENERGY HEAT PUMP BONUS RATE ANNOUNCEMENT
Xcel Energy is offering bonus rebates on all qualifying heat pumps installed and invoiced between July 11 and December 31, 2022. The bonus rebate will be added automatically when the rebate is being processed. Rebate applications must be submitted by December 31, 2022, to qualify for the bonus rebates. ADDITIONAL bonus rebates are available through the Cold Climate Heat Pump Study (ccHP Study): $1,000 for centrally ducted ccHP’s ($3,000 in Xcel rebates total), $600 for ccMSHP’s ( $2,600 in Xcel rebates total). You must be a participating AC-HP contractor (pass the online class), agree to the terms of the Study, and you must have your Manual J/S reviewed by Michaels Energy’s, Eric O’Neill, Engineer BEFORE installation. elo@michaelsenergy.com | 608-792-7721.

The Colorado Energy Office (CEO) and the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) have opened the application process for the Energy Code Board established in House Bill 22-1362 - an overview of the legislation, an overview of the board, and a link to the online application form. The application will be open until 5:00 pm MST on Friday, August 19, 2022. The board will be selected and seated on or before October 1, 2022. | LINK

HB21-1105 Low Income Utility Assistance Payment Contributions
- Dedicates funds for energy retrofits through the Weatherization Assistance Program at Colorado Energy Office and will help finance utility bill payments and efficiency investments through Energy Outreach Colorado, and can be used to eligible customers get solar.
SB21-231 Energy Office Weatherization Assistance Grants
- Funding to be used for the Weatherization Assistance Program.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
On-Call Sustainability and Energy Services
The Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency is seeking to procure the professional services of one or more energy, sustainability, or resiliency consulting firms. Apply to provide on-call services to support analysis, design, and implementation of a multitude of programs including but not limited to existing and new building decarbonization, deployment of heat pumps, distributed energy resources, vehicle electrification, resilience landscape design, ecosystem services, and zero waste and water. Please share the opportunity with your networks! Responses are due by July 29. This solicitation is strictly limited to currently certified City and County of Denver Small Business Enterprise (SBE) firms.

Boulder Commons is a mixed-use development of one office building and one apartment complex. The site was able to achieve net-zero energy (NZE) through a combination of electric and energy-efficient, and electric building design, NZE leasing strategy, onsite solar, wastewater recovery systems, and a vehicle-to-building system to flatten peak energy use. Our speakers will discuss Boulder Commons' building and systems design, as well as a cost-benefit analysis.
