Amid the devastation, wrought by Lahaina fire, compassion endures at Maui Prep

Two USC Rossier doctoral graduates opened their hearts—and the doors of their school—after a deadly wildfire leveled Lahaina and disrupted education for West Maui students.

Recognizing Dr. Kimberly Hirabayashi

The Rossier EdD Programs Office is thrilled to give a proud “shout-out” to an EdL faculty member who was recently honored as the recipient of the 2023-2024 University Club Faculty Recognition Award from the Amy King Dundon-Berchtold University Club of USC. Congratulations, Dr. Kimberly Hirabayashi!

She holds the position of EdL Program Concentration Chair for the Educational Psychology concentration, where she teaches, supports and inspires learning on a daily basis. She also invests much of her time serving as the chair of many students’ dissertation committees.

Huriya Jabbar awarded major grant to explore links between housing policies and school integration and desegregation

Grant awarded by the American Institutes for Research (AIR) in the Behavioral Sciences.
