Loudoun Street, Tin Top is a gallery and gift shop featuring carefully curated fine art, jewelry, home goods, cards, clothing and more by independent artists and crafters from around the United States. Owners Neil and Kerry Stavely strive to bring unique contemporary art and craft to the Winchester area, and to encourage people to support independent artists and crafters. They're also the creative force behind Horse & Hare and the artists behind the iconic linocut and woodcut prints, t-shirts, postcards, and other items spotted around Winchester and beyond.

5 months after shutting down, The Monument is rising again | Nearly five months after closing unexpectedly, the popular entertainment venue at 186 N. Loudoun St. is under new ownership and preparing to reopen its doors on April 5 with performances from a pair of popular country music performers, Hayden Coffman and Bryan Frazier. |
Valley Health announces partnership with rehabilitation provider | Management of Valley Health System’s acute rehabilitation services, including the employment and operational leadership of about 60 of its current inpatient rehabilitation team members at the Cork Street/Winchester Rehabilitation Center, will be under new management starting March 3, according to a media release from Valley Health. | |
Group aims to make Winchester more bicycle and pedestrian friendly | Steve Policastro and his wife were surprised by the lack of bicyclists when they moved to Winchester in 2019. Policastro quickly began researching how to make the city a safer, more accessible place for cyclists, as well as pedestrians. | |
Hood Love expo to bring awareness to Black-owned businesses |
The community organization Hood Love, in celebration of Black History Month, is holding a Black Business and History Expo on Saturday, Feb. 24th to showcase Black-owned businesses in and around Winchester.

The amazing staff at the Emil & Grace Shihadeh Innovation Center were kind enough to give EDA board members and staff a tour of their state-of-the-art facility recently. We were amazed by the incredible experiential learning opportunities available to the students and impressed by the sophisticated technologies being used to train and educate Winchester's future workforce.
