Barbara Roos announced as Administrator for the Canon to the Ordinary


The Episcopal Church in Connecticut (ECCT) is pleased to welcome Barbara Roos as Administrator for the Canon to the Ordinary (C2O). In this newly created position, Barbara will support the C2O by holding processes related to Alienations and Encumbrances, clergy licensing, and Title IV, among her other responsibilities. She will also offer her considerable administrative skills in managing the C2O’s complex calendar and supporting the ECCT staff more broadly.

Prayer for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls

May 5, 2024, is the National Day of Awareness and Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Nationwide, murder is the third leading cause of death for Native women according to the Urban Indian Health Institute. About 4 in 5 Native women have experienced violence, Native women are twice as likely than white women to experience violence. Native women also face a murder rate that is 10 times the national average, and the murder rate for Native women is 3 times that of white women

Growing Hope, Forging Peace, May 11


For Middle and High School Youth: Come to Camp Washington, Lakeside, on May 10-11 at 6PM with old friends and meet new friends as we come together for a weekend of hope and transformation.


On Friday, gather at Camp for an evening of engaging conversation and discussion with Shane Claiborne, beating guns into plowshares around the forge, group art projects, and time to chill and talk around the campfire.


Saturday morning, you will wake up to breakfast and have time to wrap up our work from Friday night, then welcome the larger community to join for a day of testimony, reflection, experience, and ACTION, ending the weekend in worship, prayer, and a delicious picnic lunch.

50th Anniversary Celebration, May 19


Join us for a celebration of those who have been in committed partnerships for 50 years or more at 4PM on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Christ Church Cathedral, Hartford.


This year’s celebration will include a blessing of the union with Holy Eucharist. A cake and punch reception will follow, featuring a professional photographer ready to take photos of all our anniversary couples!
