Hello!
It was pure joy having everyone back on campus today. The smiles and energy were abounding throughout the halls and classrooms. Thank you for sharing in the excitement with Trinity faculty and staff as we embark on this new school year. We cannot wait to Grow Our Future Together.
We want to clarify some questions we had today over carpool today involving drop off and pick up. We hope this information makes for an even smoother second day of school.
Important EC & LS Morning Carpool Reminders Include:
- Carpool gates and classrooms open at 7:30 am.
- All EC & LS families use the same morning drop off carpool line. Enter off of Teague St at the school’s main entrance.
- LS students are dropped off at the first designated spot by the Martin Building steps.
- EC students are dropped off after LS students by the small playground right before exiting campus.
- Faculty and staff will be ready to greet you at drop off. They will open the car door and help your child exit the car. They will be ready to unbuckle the car seat.
- Have your carpool tag visible in the morning carpool to direct you to the right drop off.
- All materials needed to come to school should be packed and zipped up in the backpack including the water bottle, snack and lunch if possible or ready to carry inside.
- Any unfinished breakfast, toys, stuffed animals or books from home should be left in the car and not come into the school and classrooms.
Important Early Childhood 11:30 Carpool Reminders Include:
- The EC 11:30 pickup line entrance is off of Eighth and Padon St on the back side of campus. Enter into the parking lot and proceed to the numbered cones in front of the Martin Building.
- *This is a different carpool line than the morning drop off carpool line.
- Have carpool tags visible for easy loading.
- Remain in your car. Students will be brought to you by our EC faculty and staff and help load your children into their car seats.
Important EC & LS 3:00 Carpool Reminders Include:
- There are 2 carpool lines running at 3:00 for EC and LS pickup.
- Please have your carpool tag visible in the carpool line.
- Twos through Second Grade are picked up in the carpool line utilized for morning drop off, using the main entrance of campus off of Teague St.
- Anyone picking up Twos, Threes or PreK should merge to the right.
- Those picking up Kinder, First or Second (along with any additional EC students) should merge left. Please note that a staff member will be helping direct.
- The Third through Fifth Grade carpool line runs on the backside of campus off of Eighth and Padon St into the parking lot by the Davis Lewis and Martin Buildings.
- Younger siblings of Third through Fifth Grade (Twos - Second) will be ready to be picked up in this line as well.
Important Extended Enrichment Pickup After 3:00 Information:
- Those picking up students after 3:00 participating in Extended Enrichment will park in the Eighth and Padon St parking lot to pick up students accessing the front entrance of the Martin Building.
- You will sign out your child from Extended Enrichment.
Our carpool lines for drop off and pick up are set up to keep our Trinity students safe. Please reference the Carpool Map located on the Titan Tidbits Newsletter for a visual. Thank you for your cooperation and please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Looking forward to finishing off our first week of school strong! Thank you for sharing your child(ren) with us!
Please note that on Fridays, beginning Friday August 16, students may wear a Trinity spirit t-shirt with their regular uniform bottoms. Jeans and cheerleading outfits are reserved for pep rallies and other special occasions - not allowed on typical Fridays.
As I close, I want to share a Prayer for Parents as we start the school year:
Lord, thank you for the unique gifts of every child as they transition into a new school year. Fill each student along with my own fresh enthusiasm and a heart that is excited to learn and grow - socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically and spiritually. Cover them with your enduring love, give them confidence and grace, and equip them the ability to persevere through trials. Help them to share your love and be a good friend to others while you provide them with the friends they need. Bless their teachers with wisdom, understanding, patience, love and a heart to serve, as they embark on this journey together. Amen.
A Prayer to say with your student as they begin this new school year:
Dear Lord,
Use my eyes to see new friends.
Open my ears to hear new friends.
Open my mind to learn new things.
Let my heart remember YOU always are near when I’m afraid.
Help me to love others like you do.
I want to shine your light so bright in my soul.
Amen.
Blessings for a great first week of school,
Jessica Wilkinson
