From the Pastor
What a blessing it was to have Larry Williamson with us as our Gideon speaker this past Sunday! Larry shared different testimonies in the 2 services. Folks, if you came to the first service I want to encourage you to pull up the recording of the 11:00am service and listen to Larry’s powerful testimony of when he was stoned while placing Bibles in a Muslim school in Debre Birhan, Ethiopia [you may access the RPBC webpage at rpbc.us, and then click on the Vimeo hotlink].

Because of your prayers and contributions in behalf of the Gideons through the years, you share in the blessings of the provision and placement of Bibles both here in Pearl River County and around the world. COVID has negatively impacted the work of the Gideons as it has most everything else. By limiting opportunities for Gideons to carry their reports into churches, contributions are down. That translates into fewer Bibles purchased and placed. But, because RPBC has been faithful to open her doors and provide in-house and on-line livestream services, we were able to host a Gideon speaker. I am so proud of you! Your generosity has resulted in a Gideon offering of $3034.50 so far. Additional checks may still arrive from some of our livestream viewers. This is by far the largest Gideon offering ever by our church, that I am aware of. God provided an opportunity for RPBC to make a Kingdom impact in a time of great need. Larry was obedient to share his testimonies attesting to the power of God. And, you responded by faith. 100% of your contributions will go toward the purchase of Gideon New Testaments and full Bibles. That will translate into 2427 New Testaments or 607 full Bibles. I challenged us to give enough to purchase 2000 New Testaments, and you far exceeded that! Thank you RPBC! And, thank you Lord!

Finally, I want to give you another “pat on the back.” We had 31 people respond to the request to give blood in memory of Mitzi Smith and honor of Conner Beech! Thank you so much for your sacrifice!

It just keeps getting gooder and gooder!

Our God is an awesome God!
Dan
