We experienced another great day of worship this past Sunday! Thank you Andrew McKnight, Bob Gunn, and Sanctuary Choir for the special music. It was exciting to welcome Tonya Sherrer on her profession of faith! Tonya is married to Wade, and has two children: Waylon (4) and Abbie (2). Please welcome this family to our faith family.
June is practically here, and with it comes Children’s Camp, the SBC Annual Meeting in New Orleans, and Centrifuge (youth camp). Please be in prayer for these important events.
Also, our Nominating Committee and Committee on Committees will soon begin their work. Please pray for these committees, and please pray about where God would have you serve. All of us are given at least one Spiritual Gift when we are saved. A Spiritual Gift is an empowerment with a special ability that is to be used to build up the church. There are a variety of gifts, and all are necessary. Please make yourself available by talking to Rhys or me, and we will help you find just the right place of service!
The gym will soon be available for use! We will let you know as soon as the floor has cured and is sealed. We are planning a dedication service, in the gym, for Sunday, July 2nd. This will be a special day of worship. We will also take a dedication picture and have dinner on the grounds. Roseland Park celebrates our 90th anniversary this year, so to be able to dedicate this gym – the largest construction project in the history of our church – marks a memorable milestone in the life of this faith family. I hope you will make plans to be a part of this awesome occasion!
