Thank you for allowing me to have a few days to relax in sunny Florida! Janice and I enjoyed some beautiful weather, an uncrowded beach, and plenty of great food.
I appreciate Mickey Clogher leading the Bible Study and Prayer Meeting last Wednesday evening, and Rhys filling the pulpit on Sunday. I have heard so many good things about the services. In addition, I have also heard that the youth variety show fundraiser on Sunday evening was a big hit! It seems that some new choir prospects may have been discovered! Thank you to everyone who helped make this fundraiser a success!
Our Bible Drillers were awesome at the State Drill held at Hardy Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg on Saturday. All of our participants were successful! Thank you to Aiden Miltier, Jolie Abercrombie, Lina Boe, and Madalynn Secondine (children’s participants); and Anna Kate Breland (youth participant) for all of your hard work and willingness to see your commitment through to the State Drill. And, thank you to our Bible Drill leaders! Without you our children could not have succeeded. Our leaders were, Faye Mardis (Director), Ann Archer, and Lila Balch (children’s leaders); and Debbie and Joey Mitchell (youth leaders).
Now, please pray for our Children’s DNOW event this coming weekend. Although the children’s version of DNOW is greatly scaled down from what the youth experience, it is still a special time for our children to be discipled in small groups and have an opportunity to get to know other kids through games, activities, and Bible studies.
It is good to be back. I look forward to seeing you this Wednesday evening as we continue with our Bible book survey, and again this Sunday as we consider what Jesus did during the time His body was in the tomb.
You Are Loved!
Dan
