We had another great day in the Lord this past Sunday. I’m always so excited in looking forward to our worship services on Sunday, because I know God is going to be here with us. That feeling of family is so special as we greet and fellowship with one another. And, as we worship together, it is so peaceful and humbling to sense God moving in response to our praise. I want to once again thank the choir for singing in both services. Your leading us to worship in song adds so much to our services.
Brian Tyndall met with a group of about 30 Sunday afternoon to provide information on a Holy Land tour of Israel that is scheduled for December 28 – January 6. Brian describes this experience as a “pilgrimage.” In early March he will provide a printed brochure with details and points of interest related to the tour. Shortly after that, those who wish to be a part of this tour will be asked to commit by paying a deposit. I will keep you up to date with the latest information and timeline, in case you have an interest in this once-in-a-lifetime trip.
During Sunday School this Sunday, we have asked the teachers to provide an opportunity for your class to go as a group out to the gym so that each of you, individually, may write your favorite Bible verse on a support column, brace, wall stud, wall insulation, or the floor. Markers will be available in the gym. Once the sheetrock and flooring have been installed, these Scripture verses will remain as an unseen vanguard on this building God has so graciously provided! We ask that you DO NOT WRITE:
- on the exterior of the building
- higher than you can reach standing on the floor
- on the doors
If you are unable to participate with your class this Sunday, you may come by anytime and write your Bible verse between now and when the workers hang the sheetrock. However, after the sheetrock is hung, you will still be able to write on the floor up until the flooring is put down.
Guess who is planning to be at the Triumphant Quartet this Saturday night? BRAD REPLOGLE! “In 2019 Triumphant received a Dove award for their album YES, which was also voted southern Gospel Album of the Year. Gospel music fans agree that the triumphant sound is distinctive, solid quartet singing, voting them fan favorite quartet for 13 years as well as Artist of the year for 4 years.” I hope to see you Saturday night at 6:00pm. Tickets are only $15 each. These will make a wonderful late Valentine’s gift for your sweetheart!
You Are Loved!
