Both of our worship services this past Sunday were awesome! Jake Axon, our DNOW speaker, brought the message from 1 Corinthians 1:18-31, and did a wonderful job! I have heard so many good comments. He was joined by the praise team in the 8:30 service and the DNOW choir at 11:00. Our Student Minister, Rhys Everspaugh, actually led the student choir, and I must say that I’ve never seen that choir-directing style, but it sure was effective in getting the most out of the students! They were such a blessing as they sang from their hearts. We also rejoice with Madelyn Gulsby who made her profession of faith at the 11:00 service. Madelyn was a guest for DNOW and had been invited by one of our students.
All of the reports from the DNOW weekend have been positive. I appreciate Rhys, the Youth Committee, and all the other adult volunteers so much! I also want to express my appreciation to the hosts who provide their homes, the small group leaders, those who donated scholarships, and everyone who prayed for the safety and health of everyone involved and the success of the event. God’s blessings were evident. Thank you, church, for always supporting our children and youth ministries with such enthusiasm!
I will continue with my message series on the book of Ephesians this Sunday. We will look at Ephesians 1:15-23 as we are reminded that as believers, we have communion with God. That simply means that we are in a relationship with Him. Practically, what does that mean for you and me? Come Sunday to find out!
Finally, please continue to pray for Bro. Brad and Lori. Brad is continuing to make progress. However, although he is improving, he still needs our prayers for a full recovery.
You Are Loved!
