From the City of Sea Isle City

MAY 16, 2024

MAYOR'S MESSAGE

I hope you were able to be in Sea Isle City during our annual “Community Day” celebration on May 4, because it truly was a momentous day for our town. In addition to the usual Community Day activities that took place – including the bicycle auction, shredding event, meet-and-greet session, town-wide yard sale, and awards ceremony – we also unveiled two historic plaques, officially opened Sea Isle’s new Dog Park, and broke ground for our future Community Center.

CITY COUNCIL'S MESSAGE

Due to a very light agenda, City Council’s May 4 meeting was rather brief. During that meeting, however, each of the resolutions on the Consent Agenda was approved, including…

  • Resolution 077, which approved the city’s most recent vouchers (the process used to purchase goods and services).
  • Resolution 078, which recognized May as Mental Health Awareness Month and May 13-19 as Mental Health Awareness Week.
  • Resolution 079, which approved Sea Isle City’s Governing Body’s Certification of the Annual Audit.

PARKING REMINDERS

Parking Fees Are In Effect

May 15 to Labor Day

Sea Isle City’s annual parking fees are in effect from May 15 through Labor Day. Parking fees are required at numbered parking spaces at off-street lots and along the curb, from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM and Sunday from 12 noon to 11:00 PM – EXCEPT at the Municipal Marina Parking Lot along 42nd Place and the Bay, which requires parking fees 7-days a week from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM.

Sea Isle City no longer accepts cash payments for parking fees and has no free-standing meters or kiosks. Parking fees are paid via the ParkMobile App, which can be found in both Google and Apple App Stores. If you do not have a smart phone or the ParkMobile App, you can pay for parking by phoning the ParkMobile Service Line (877-727-5304) when you park your vehicle, at which time you can pay using a credit card over the phone. A service fee of 65-cents will be applied when paying for parking via Park-Mobile.

Parking in the right of way (on sidewalks) is prohibited – so avoid a fine and do not block any portion of a sidewalk with your vehicle at any time. Also, parking of recreational vehicles, campers, or boats/trailers is not permitted on city streets.

For more information about parking fees, please go to https://visitsicnj.com/ and click the “About / Parking” tab on the home page – or phone 609-263-4311, ext.1.

Short Term Parking Permits (which are good for eight consecutive days) can be purchased for $80 each at the City Clerk’s Office, located on the third floor of City Hall. CLICK HERE for Short Term Parking Permit Applications and Rules, or phone the City Clerk's Office at 609-263-4461, ext.1200.
