New Groot Refuse and Recycling Program Begins September 1, 2024

Registration NOW OPEN!

The Village has signed a new five-year contract with Groot effective September 1, 2024. Under this updated program, stickers will no longer be required for refuse and yard waste. Instead, customers will enjoy unlimited flat-rate collection of refuse, recycling, and yard waste. Groot will supply new refuse and recycling containers, which are currently showcased at Village Hall for those interested in viewing the sample sizes. Customers can choose from three sizes: 35 gallons (small), 65 gallons (medium), and 95 gallons (large) during registration.

Registration for the new Groot Refuse and Recycling Program is NOW OPEN! To register, please call 888-485-0900 or click here. More details about the program can be found on our Village website.

Once registered, Groot will mail you your first bill with your account number and the option to enroll in autopay or paperless billing. Woodridge residents will also receive a Groot Brochure and a postcard with registration details in the mail in the coming weeks.

New Electronic Message Boards!

The Village of Woodridge is currently installing electronic message boards to replace our traditional letter marquees at Town Centre and on 75th Street. Both electronic message boards are expected to be fully operational by the end of July.

Please note that the 'Watchfire' notice currently displayed is related to the software that will run our new message boards. Until the electronic message boards are fully programmed and functional, the Watchfire logo will be visible on the boards. We are excited to enhance communication through our new signs very soon!

Woodridge Community Survey

Taking Place July 9 - September

The Village of Woodridge is conducting a survey of residents about their opinions of living in the Village and Village services. The survey will run from July 9 through September and results will be presented to the Village Board in October. The Center for Governmental Studies at Northern Illinois University is assisting the Village of Woodridge with the survey. The information collected will help the Village plan for the future. Households receiving this survey can choose to complete it online, by mail, or by phone, and all responses are confidential.

If your household is one of the limited number of households that is randomly selected to receive the survey, it is important that you complete it. Your responses will provide insights into the perceptions of all households in the Village. Upon completion of the survey and randomly selected sample pool, the Village will open the survey to the entire community to offer feedback.
