Residential Chicken Keeping Pilot Program

Are you interested in keeping chickens? The Village of Woodridge is now accepting applications for its Residential Chicken Keeping Pilot Program. The pilot program will run from April 5, 2024 until October 5, 2025. There is no maximum number of participants or deadline to participate in the pilot program. Village of Woodridge Enjoys the Total Solar Eclipse!

The Woodridge Public Library distributed solar eclipse viewing glasses and held a fun gathering for the community to view the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. View some of the photos from the day! We hope everyone had a great time viewing this incredible sight!

Public Works is Hiring Summer Seasonal Help!

Join the team! Public Works is now hiring summer seasonal help to serve the community and assist streets, water, sewer, and fleet maintenance crews with daily operations. Hourly pay is $18.50 and uniforms, personal safety equipment, and all on-the-job training will be provided by the Village! Click here to learn more and apply.

Parking Reminders

The Village of Woodridge would like to remind the community that the parking of vehicles on Village streets between the hours of 2:00 am and 6:00 am is prohibited without prior approval. Parking can only be granted for one night at a time and vehicles may only be parked overnight on the street for three nights within a 30 day period. Click here to submit an overnight parking request.

Additionally, please remember that no vehicles should be parked on the sidewalk. Please be courteous when parking your vehicle. If you were a child riding a bike, or a pedestrian walking your dog, this would be tough to navigate.

DuPage Health Coalition Medical Debt Relief Project

Are you struggling with medical debt? You are not alone. More than 100 million people in America — a startling 41% of adults — have medical bills they cannot pay. The good news is DuPage Health Coalition can help. Open to uninsured and underinsured DuPage County Residents (all immigration statuses welcome), Medical Debt Care DuPage has a team of financial counselors who can review outstanding bills and help local residents apply for medical financial assistance programs. Whether it's past or present medical bills—from hospitals, ambulances, doctor's offices, or those in collections—all qualify for review.

2024 Congressional Art Competition

Started by Members of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1982, the Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide annual art competition that allows high-school-age students to showcase their artistic ability. The winning piece of art from each Congressional district is displayed in an eleven-month exhibit in the U.S. Capitol. 

Submissions are now open for high-school-age students residing in Illinois' 11th Congressional District! For artwork guidelines and submission requirements, click here. All submissions are due on April 22, 2024.

DuPage County Launches Texting Options for 211 Helpline

In addition to dialing or browsing for help, DuPage County residents seeking health and human services can now find assistance by texting the County’s free 211 information and referral line. Residents can text their ZIP code to 898211 to connect with a County operator, who can provide referrals to assistance available near them. Texting service will be available between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. In addition to the texting option, residents seeking help can still dial 2-1-1 or visit 211dupage.gov to find services near them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
