Share Your Expertise at the 2024 SCOA Annual Meeting in Kiawah Island

Expert Talks Submissions are due by February 29th!

Practicing orthopaedic surgeons are invited to submit clinical or business topics for presentation at the 2024 SCOA Annual Meeting taking place August 1-3, 2024, in Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

Approximately 60 minutes of the annual meeting program will be devoted to these presentations, which may range from 10 – 20 minutes each depending on the number of submissions selected. In addition to Expert Talks, the Annual Meeting is a great opportunity to reconnect with your peers as we seek clinical and professional excellence through dynamic keynotes and research presentations. Keynote speakers include Steven L. Frick, MD, and Milt Lowder, PhD.

Notice: New Email Rules

Review Your Practice Communications

On February 1, 2024, Google and Yahoo implemented new rules affecting email senders to @gmail and @yahoo addresses to help protect against spam, phishing, and spoofing.

Network Solutions, LLC, has shared key guidelines to follow:

  • Use a proprietary domain (@yourcompany.com) instead of free email domains like @gmail.
  • Authenticate your sender domain with SPF or DKIM.
  • Keep spam report rates below 0.3% (0.1% Google Postmaster Tools).
  • Use a Transport Layer Security (TLS) connection for transmitting email.

For high-volume senders (over 5,000 emails/day):

  • Implement a DMARC policy, even if set to "none”.
  • Enable one-click unsubscribes and process within 2 days.

Sean Shaw: Health Insurers are Consolidating Influence Over the Health Care System

Content via Florida Politics:

Health insurers are by far the most profitable entities in the health care industry.
