Donuts, cinnamon rolls, muffins, gluten free breads are all greatly appreciated! Juice and coffee will be provided. The flowers can be taken home after Easter morning, or be left at church and will be potted out in the courtyard! Thank you in advance for your donations!

An Easter Message from the Bishop

Click the video to hear an Easter message from our national presiding Bishop, Elizabeth Eaton. She focuses on three words that describe what the women at tomb experienced when the angel announced that Jesus had been raised from the dead: fear, amazement and being seized or possessed.

TRINITY UPDATES

The Trinity Lutheran Church Self-Study Report is complete!

This report is a comprehensive document prepared by the transition team which assessed and evaluated our progress, capabilities, and potential as a ministry. It also summarizes data collected from the survey that was completed this winter. Click the document to read!

It's hard to believe, but we only have 5 Family Faith Night Meals left for the academic year! Renell and Samantha are seeking out families to host these last few dinners. As a reminder, a Children's Ministry Grant is supporting the cost of each meal this year, up to $250 each. If you can sign up for a Wednesday night, please email or talk to Samantha Johnson.

Dates: April 10th,17th, 24th; May 1st, 8th

Trinity is accessible via Jackson Creek Parkway!

The development behind Trinity is quickly growing! The neighborhoods are now connected and you can access Trinity via Jackson Creek Parkway! Turn east onto Slopeside and right on Brass Buckle. Brass Buckle winds into Lucky Penny Lane, followed by one more right onto Knollwood Drive!

MINISTRY TEAM FEATURE OF THE MONTH

We're delighted to start a monthly feature of our ministry and operations teams here in the newsletter! Each month, hear from a different team about their mission, objectives, efforts, and celebrations of how they impact the our church & community! And hear from folks on these teams about why they love to serve in this way.

Inclusion and Reconciliation Team

Participant Spotlight: Patsy Janeba

"My nephew is trans, and for years I tried to figure out how to convey to him that every teen is uncomfortable with their body. 'Therefore, just wait and you’ll be fine with your female body.' I was the one that needed to 'figure out' who he was and that God created him to be the person he is today. He went from being a very unhappy confused female teenager to a happy productive young man. God calls us to love each person that he has created for who they are, not who we would have them be. A goal within the IRT is to help us take the blinders off, and to view all marginalized people, and everyone, as people to be loved and accepted as God’s beautiful creation. That is why I felt drawn to join this mission."

UPCOMING EVENTS

We are extending the invitation to the congregation to join us! If you're interested in coming to see Rend Collective on Saturday, April 27th, please let Samantha know by Friday, April 5th!

Join us for a day of sharing dreams that will focus on how to decipher dreams using the projective dreamwork method of “in my imagined version of this dream.” With this practice, “every dream becomes everybody’s dream!” The majority of the class will offer hands-on experience of exploring the symbols and metaphors of volunteered dreams so we can offer possible meanings, always remembering that only the dreamer can say with any certainty what his or her dream means. Discussions will include how to increase dream recall, universal dream symbols, Jungian concepts, and how dreamwork inspires empathy and compassion. Billie Ortiz (friend of Pastor Mary's), who has been a dream worker for decades, will facilitate the workshop. Click here to learn more about Billie, and click here to learn more about projective dreamwork!

The cost is $58 for the day. You are invited to bring your own lunch or order something to be delivered. REGISTER HERE! (signing up on the clipboards on Sunday mornings does NOT confirm your registration!) The minimum number of participants is 10, and the maximum number is 25.

Registration deadline is April 5.
